Lets see ...

You need the extra money from higher premiums to fund the the original subsidies, but now you want to expand subsidy eligibility, so you need even MORE money from even HIGHER premiums [with a SMALLER pool of people] in order to fund the expanded subsidies ...

ROCK SOLID business plan ...

Somehow, I think Congress will have to be involved with “extended” subsidies, and I seriously doubt they’ll go along. Still, like Charles Krauthhammer just said, it’s the typical Democrat “solution”: spend more money. Charles also said the idea was “insane”.

Smart and devious guy, isn’t he? I do believe his goal is to turn the USA into a socialist (Communist?) country. His intention is focused on having the Federal Government run every part of our lives. Obamacare? It’s only a step towards a Single Payer Plan-—a government-run health care
(or NOT-care) for all of us.

Subsidies come from tax $$$ not the insurance premiums and come as tax credits. How do you get a subsidy if you don’t pay taxes??

When a football team breaks down it does not just lose its running game or the passing game it loses its blocking, kicking, tackling game and ultimately it loses its morale. We see the team disintegrate.

We are observing the disintegration of the American system. Our executive is out of control. Our legislative branch passes legislation which says in effect to the executive branch, go and restructure the American medical delivery system to your liking by regulation. When control of the legislature shifts back to the other party and a minority in that party try to right the system by defunding the enabling legislation, all the players, including leaders of their own party, turn on it and claim it is breaking down the system.

The judicial system, one of the last lines of defense in making the team function, has mimicked the legislative branch and abdicated its responsibility to see that the constitutional provisions concerning the making of laws are complied with. So the judicial branch condones law making which in reality is nothing more than an authorization to rule by regulations and to rule ad hoc. Worse, the judicial branch has long ago virtually abandoned its oversight role in determining the constitutionality reasonableness of regulations and has demonstrated a proclivity to abandon its role concerning legislation by its ruling on Obamacare. So the legislative function vested by Article 1 of the Constitution in the legislative branch has been handed off to the executive branch. The judicial function of the Article III branch has been virtually abdicated to the point where it is not probable that the judicial branch will step in and fulfill its role to declare unconstitutional an executive Fiat which does not find even color of authority in the legislation.

As this distortion continues the whole system is wrecked. It is not just a pretty geometrical system but a coherent machine designed like a winning football team for all its contributing parts to do their share. When one part breaks down, the team limps along and might even win but when all the elements abandon their roles, abandon their duty, morale sinks, cynicism grows, and treachery and infighting abound.

If this disintegration is not halted our end will not be pretty and cannot be long delayed.

Is not the schedule of those eligable for subsidies determined by “established” law and not something the King Coon can alter at will?

I remember when there was a constitutional crises in Honduras around 2009...(?) and there was a rumor during that time 0 had transferred 80 million dollars to a bank account down there; being for Zelaya to keep that country from going under and a large cut for himself, i.e., the 0’ster= could have happened, i don’t know, anything is possible.

You file a return like the working poor do now to get EITC bucks. Eventually a 1040EZ will have spaces for other expenses like electricity and child care. The subsidy for health insurance goes to your carrier anyway.

Obama envisions a more direct welfare system where largess comes direct from your loving government through the IRS. His only problem is getting that payment date closer to election day,
