A new Gallup poll brings more terrible news for President Obama and his signature health plan, showing that only 22% of uninsured Americans intend to buy insurance through the ObamaCare exchanges.
One of the major selling points for using ObamaCare to disrupt our health care system (that polls showed up to 80% of Americans were satisfied with) was to insure the uninsured. But according to this poll, only a very small minority of that small minority is even interested in obtaining insurance.
Even more troubling is the realization that a month ago, that number was double; a full 44% of the uninsured said they would purchase insurance though the exchanges.
Over the course of a month, however, the reality of ObamaCare scared off half of that 44%

Obamacare was not about insuring the uninsured. That was the campaign selling point. But it included millions of people who were already insured and already happy with their coverage.
Those people who’s coverage had to CHANGE.

All the more reason why they must be compelled to join up. And all the more reason why new programs designed to educate and indoctrinate people to act in their own best interests must be created, staffed, funded, and implemented. And all the more reason why taxes must be raised and business restricted, to pay for these new programs. Healthcare must be reformed. No longer can we make no mistake about it.
Every day, it seems, it gets little more over.

Reminds me of what happens when you introduce commodes to uncivilized folk who are used to taking a squat on their haunches. They can be ‘encouraged’ to use the commode—but when they do they don’t sit on it, they squat on their haunches on top of the commode.
I’ll bet 75% of the “low-information” crowd don’t even know they’ll be fined if they don’t sign up.
If you can afford insurance and plan on seeking urgent care in an emergency room, then either have the insurance or get a health savings account. I think they were interested just not in going broke trying.
We were told that they’d be dying in the streets if ACA wasn’t passed - sounds like a stool sample - “We have to pass it to find out what’s in it” ... well I guess they did.
So...when does the Insurance Market Death Spiral commence?
