Guess the Government needs to look into addressing this to prevent twice as many deaths!

Commissioner Hamburg to go after trans fats?............
Now that Your Gubbermint is on the case, no one shall ever die of a heart attack again. Yea!!!!!
Most commercially sold baked goods contain trans-fats. Will be interesting to see what, if, anything will be used as a replacement.
Yes I am totally against fat transsexuals, they have to ban those things.
Last week I was joking that next we are going to see government mandated food purchases ala Obamacare...and wadda ya know, heeere we go. Don’t tell me: Mooshelle is going to declare what grocery stores we can go to and what we can buy or face a fine.
How about a GD BUDGET?
Although it is a noble pursuit to reduce the factors that reduce human lifespan, one wonders if some of these efforts only prolong the problems until later years. A person could be kept from arterial disease by all kinds of preventative measures. However, science has not determined if all the preventable measure don’t just put off the disease until later years. At those later years, there are other progressive physical problems that the human body encounters. Some of those problems have no medical solution and do have quality of life issues. Is society willing to give aid to a population with increasing quality of life issues as greater numbers live to later years? Or, is this a set-up for euthanasia?
We could have solved AIDS in the 80’s within a few years. It was just easier to use kid gloves on the problems.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. -C.S. Lewis
Dr. Aragon: [chuckling] Oh, yes. Those are the charmed substances that some years ago were thought to contain life-preserving properties.
Dr. Melik: You mean there was no deep fat? No steak or cream pies or... hot fudge?
Dr. Aragon: Those were thought to be unhealthy... precisely the opposite of what we now know to be true.
Dr. Melik: Incredible.
