Since the shooter's race was not reported (very strange) it's only conjecture to assume he's white.
Still, even if he's black, that doesn't preclude "racial profiling," a term that's completely meaningless. After all even the Most Exalted Right Rev Doctor Jesse the Great Jackson has enough sense to know he's in danger when walking the street at night being followed by a young black.
