Communist Goal #20:
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

Federalist says a well regulated militia has NOTHING to do with government.
A government that fears the people is the idea. When people fear the government, you’ve got the same situation from which Jefferson and everyone else fled England.
What makes me laugh is that even the Supreme Court inadvertently underlines the importance of every citizen protecting themselves.
Warren vs District of Columbia ruled that two women who had bean serially raped for hours after having called the police. The police responded, late, came to the door but didn’t think to break in after having actually heard and understood there were men in the apartment.
The women wanted to sue on the basis of having expected protection from the police, and not received it.
Warren v DC held that protection ISN’T an expectation a citizen can reasonably have of law enforcement. The burden of protection falls to the CITIZEN.
With this on the books, its amazing there’s a single gun control law on the books in any state.
Anyway, this is something that should be taught in EVERY HS civics class, and isn’t.
Wow. I can only imagine how shocked the subscribers to G & A must have been.
“He also said a well-regulated militia means regulated by the government.
And from a supposed history professor that taught at two colleges.
Laws restricting our God-given right to keep and bear arms by definition infringe on that right. Such laws are thus inherently and unavoidably unconstitutional. It’s not a hard concept to understand, and no legitimate government would try to work around the protections of our basic human rights.
Well...good riddance to bad trash. The critter will soon be out working for anti-gun organizations.
Whoa. Thanks for that info.
They must have lost a lot of readers and subscribers after that editorial
We should help this liberal lose his money and investment in these business so that other can rise to meet the demand. The sooner the better.
I have never understood how a gun owner could support “compromise” gun control. There is no such thing. Gun owners always loose something and never gain anything. Any gun owner who supports even just a little restriction on guns is doing so hoping they will take his guns last.
Gun owners need to stand firmly against any and all gun control. There can be no compromise. Goodbye G&A.
Hindery, who was in consideration to be President Barack Obamas secretary of commerce, is managing partner of Intermedia Partners. The New York-based media private equity fund owns Intermedia Outdoor Holdings, which publishes 17 hunting, fishing, and shooting magazines, including Guns & Ammo, Handguns, Gun Dog, Rifle Shooter and Shooting Times.
[sincerity, fake] How surprising. [/sincerity]
The only two gun magazines I still take seriously are America's 1st Freedom and American Rifleman. I'd like to take American Handgunner seriously, but it's apparently written and edited by rugged individuals who've never figured out what to do with dictionaries.
All U.S. citizens have a right to keep and bear arms, he added, but I do not believe that they have a right to use them irresponsibly.
I wonder how long it took Metcalf to cook up that false dichotomy.
Agreed. He should not make one dime trying to DESTROY THE SECOND AMENDMENT.
Just Googled Hindery. Wow, this guy is a true Kool-Aid drinker with deep leftist roots. His daughter, Robin, also just happens to be an AP reporter.
See how easy that was? The same outrage needs to be directed at many more businesses and organizations (RNC).
Yes. That is how I figured it once I learned Dick is Yale educated. Now he can hang out with his fellow Ivy League educated leftists and be respected by them.
Yes, clearly defined in the Federalist papers.
Great catch. Thanks.
As far as the article. Fire him. Don't fire him. I could care less. I used to subscribe to that magazine. But I got tired of the redundant articles and obviously paid for favorable reviews of mediocre firearms.
And how many times did we need to read the "9mm vs 45 ACP" controversy? Mostly though, I stopped subscribed because it's just a crappy magazine.
But Metcalf says he was just looking for a healthy exchange of ideas. We're way beyond any "healthy exchange of ideas."
The anti-God, America hating crowd has shown that it will be satisfied with nothing less than either killing or enslaving righteous Americans. It's come down to us standing our ground, absolutely, on all issues. The time for compromise or rational discourse is past. You're either with us or against us.
I hope the whole magazine folds. Screw 'em.
“Well regulated” applies to the militia “shall not be infringed” applies to the whole people. You would think an ‘editor’ would have a better command of the written language.
