Health insurance premiums for 2014 are so low in many parts of Minnesota that some consumers aren't qualifying for tax credits through the state's new health insurance exchange. Access to tax credits has been widely cited as a key reason for shopping on MNsure -- the new government-run health insurance website -- so some consumers have been confused by the vanishing subsidies, April Todd-Malmlov, the MNsure executive director, said during a board meeting Wednesday in St. Paul. Paraphrasing a common question asked at MNsure's call center, Todd-Malmlov said: "I think there's something wrong with the system -- I'm supposed to be getting a tax credit, but I'm getting a zero."

I just read the article at link and cant see where it says the Minnesotans pay more for anything.
Am I just missing it?
My cousin in Ca is more or less in the same boat. She can receive subsidies that bring her premium down to $1 per month but the $5k deductible and copays are totally unaffordable for her. So she will have insurance that she never uses and the ins co will get paid by us (subsidies) for a policy they will never pay out on.
She goes to a free clinic now.
After going through the Plan Advisor(sic), it came back telling me there were "no products available".
Have already gotten a letter from my employer stating that our insurance meets the new Federal minimums and we won't be losing coverage.
And by forcing more people into Medicaid, the taxpayer is picking up the costs.
yep in fact that is where most of the signup’s are going to medicaid.. it will be a boon to all the Calif medical groups/healthplans but bad for the general pop
One thing thats not clear is whether MNsure is achieving the original goal of insuring the uninsured. Thats not immediately clear because MNsure isnt asking about previous coverage, executive director April Todd-Malmlov said on Wednesday.
The main selling point of Obamacare is that we will cover the uninsured even if it means destroying the system that ensured 85% of the population, most of whom were happy with their plans.
HA HA made ya look...
