Red And Yellow “Lose Lindsey” Rap

We were fully prepared to hate the “Red and Yellow” rap produced on behalf of the anti-Lindsey Graham website LoseLindseyGraham.com.

“Prepared to hate,” we say, not because we have any affinity for Graham (obviously that’s not the case) but because politically themed raps strike us as ridiculous. Especially if sung by white people not named Eminem.

This one is actually pretty good, though.

Produced by the Republican Liberty Caucus, the “Red and Yellow” rap (named for the color of the “Lose Lindsey” yard signs the group is mass producing) hits Graham on some of the themes we’ve been highlighting over the last few months.

“He don’t care about the middle class,” the lyrics go, referring to Graham’s repeated support for tax hikes.

And on the subject of Graham’s support for a failed global interventionist foreign policy, the rhetoric is even more aggressive … and accurate.

“Let Lindsey fight his war with the human cowards on the same side as those who brought down the towers,” the lyrics go, referring to Graham’s insistence that America invade Syria on behalf of rebel forces affiliated with the terrorist network al-Qaeda.

Seriously … not bad.

In fact our only complaint is the song doesn’t delve deeper into Graham’s litany of failings – including his questionable military service claims and unwavering support for the federal government’s domestic spying network.

The “Red and Yellow” rap isn’t a hit with everyone, though.

According to establishment “Republican” website GOPWrite.com, the rap is “extremely offensive and is NSFW.” The website also blasts the Republican Liberty Caucus as a “racist libertarian group.”

Mmmmm-kay …

Three challengers – Lowcountry businesswoman Nancy Mace, Upstate businessman Richard Cash and S.C. Sen. Lee Bright – are already running against Graham.

Others may enter the race …
