“If he is an incimbent with 46% support, how is he the most electable?”
Excellent question. But as we all know, the establishment would rather have a democrat win than a conservative (see Virginia on Tuesday), so all they have to do is get Cornyn over the primary or runoff finish line, so that either way somebody of like mind is elected. And if Cornyn is removed, they will get behind the democrat to destroy the conservative.
We are at war. And I’m going to keep pounding by posting as many stories as I can. Graham has been weakened. McConnell has been weakened. Alexander has been weakened. Cornyn has been weakened. Cochran no has a serious primary challenge. Enzi has a primary challenge but he’ll likely survive, and he’s forced to vote like a conservative till he’s safely reelected. And Collins will probably be taken out by a democrat.
Great examples of why they are afraid of their own base.
I for one will no longer vote in the general election for a "he's better than the other guy" rino. The shut down finalized it for me. If they won't get in the fight and fight for me I won't support them.
Yes we are. Some say the best tactic is to take over the GOP. Others that a new party is needed. The take over the GOP approach is tempting since it's doable and unlike a starting a new party a proven workable solution. But I am leaning towards the start a new party. Mainly because I think there are a lot of fed up democrats out there that might join us in a new party that would never vote GOP no matter how fed up they are. And secondly because I don't think it will be possible to get the corrupt establishment completely out of the GOP. I present Alaska's GOP as evidence.
