Democrats begin effort to negatively define Chris Christie before 2016 campaign
Washington Post ^ | November 6, 2013 | By Philip Rucker

Top Democratic officials launched a concerted offensive Wednesday to define New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in a negative light, believing that he has emerged from his reelection landslide as the Republican Party’s strongest potential presidential contender for 2016.

Democratic strategist Steve Murphy said Christie is “the strongest candidate” for Republicans against former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton, who will be the overwhelming favorite for the Democratic nomination if she chooses to run. He said Democrats would be wise to highlight Christie’s conservatism on economic issues.

I never said anything about The party candidates, just recognizing GOP for promoting anyone but.

Cuccinelli’s mistake was trusting the GOP. That’s a true statement. THat’s a problem for the RNC. People who want to win know this. They’re not going to dare get caught in that position. Is that what you want known about the GOP?

Where does that leave the RNC, begging, today, for credit in the Christie win, begging to not be blamed for the Cuccinelli loss?

As opposed to what news source?

I read the New York Times every Sunday, finishing the crossword by the end of the day, no resources.

I read the New Yorker, and I teach English and American Literature, as well as the Classics, to High Schoolers.

I don’t find Talk radio lacking in intellectual discussion.

Before you believe everything you hear on talk radio about the 2016 future, consider this CLEAR prediction:

But I want to underscore what I’ve been saying, which is I believe Sarah Palin will run for president. Just want to put my marker down because others are starting to do it and I put it down quite some time ago.”
Mark Levin: ‘I believe Sarah Palin will run for president’( 08/19/2011 )

Incidentally I heard that show and Levin carefully never said why he thought Palin was running. He just said that he did think it.

But that was enough for the drones

If Mark says it then it must be true because he says he worked for Reagan and he works for Landmark now and say constitution a lot so if he says she is running then I wont even think to myself if this makes any sense at all”

Republicans love to get their butts spanked. “Thank you, Sir! May I have another?”

You mean hugging obama won’t get him respect with the Democratic party? Who’da thunk it?

Yeah - right. The Media is going to be lapping at his feet soon enough. He is a Leftist by nearly any measure (other than Abortion). The media would be GLAD to anoint him as the Republi-crap nominee for 2016 - that way, no matter who wins that election, there will be a Libtard “Progressive” in the office. A win-win for them.

And I for one make a pledge - I do not CARE who the nominee is for the Dumbocrats - I will NOT vote for Christie. Period. I’m not demanding a “pure Conservative” (though that obviously is what I would prefer) - but Christie cannot earn my vote.

Some have said the Dims are using Christy to stop the tea Party then they’ll turn on him. I tend to agree at this juncture. The Liberals are chatting about this on the social sites.. seem to think Christy is the ramrod being used by Dims and Rep’s to “end” the tea party...they know the Tea Party will not support Christy.

You seem to want to go to bat for Christie all day.
You say live is better in NJ with him, can you say how that is? I’ve seen many others from NJ say the opposite.

In state tuition for illegals is good?
Gun registration is good?
Embracing Islam is good?

I’m glad to hear that. He needs to be used as Democrat bait so that they will concentrate on him and not Ted Cruz.

He’s got enough fat to last until the 2016 election and then the liberals just might realize they were after the wrong bait.

RE :”You say live is better in NJ with him, can you say how that is? “

Because I live in a single party Democrat only state.
Solid Blue and nothing gets vetoed here, unlike NJ.
We got roving speed camera vans here.

You have to live under Dem rule to understand why they are so bad I guess.

RE :”You seem to want to go to bat for Christie all day.”

I think its amusing that the long knives are out for him days before the election just because his winning his re-election was such a sure thing.

The funniest thread yesterday was the one blaming him for Cuccinelli ‘s loss on Christie because he didnt campaign in VA.

In 2010 I recall a few CA posters here claiming that if Dems won those races (in CA) like governor(Brown) that it wouldnt get any worse than it was there, but guess what? Its worse.

Personally, Chris “Krispy Kreme” Christie is no moderate, he is a RINO in the definition of New Jersey politics, and in all that has been demonstrated in his efforts to get his constituents aid after the storm, ineffectual, which we have, now.

It is reported that he appointed a Sharia law-compliant judge to the State judicial system. That is unconstitutional.

Therefore, he is not on my ‘like’ list.

He is their exhibit that the Tea Party is extreme, Mika loves him.

Mika "love him long time" until he gets the nomination. Then she will tear into him over his weight, "we can't afford a morbidly obese man in the White House."

Mika gets dreamy-eyed every time Christie name is mentioned and she is so proud that Joe likes him too. Its love when he is their guest on show. I like when Christie says '...Mika...' and she swoons

Mika “Joe, why can't all Republicans be like Chris is and work with Obama for the GOOD of the American people? He wins elections.”

Its very moving ...
