How is this much different than when I was kid playing war where we pretended to shoot and kill Germans or Japanese?
It is the culture theses kids grow up in. One can hope they grow out of it and their conception of a hero changes
Pearl Harbor . . . and the sinking of American merchant shipping within eyeshot off our east coast shore, are reasons that immediately come to mind. More importantly, we weren’t raised from the cradle to hate Germans or Japanese simply because they existed.
