When obamacare explodes, will the 3.5M who have already lost their policies get them back?
This country at the present time has no foreign enemy that has done it the harm wrought by Obama and the Democrats.
Probably only if it is declared unconstitutional.
Maryland is in a race with the Federal Government to see which goes bankrupt first.
When the fed turn Medicaid over to the states in 3 years, Marylanders are going to get a bill that will make any Governor crap his pants.
Re: Nancy Pelosi - “We’ll have to pass it first, then we can see what’s in it.” I now realize that she was talking about passing a stool.
What did a stool ever do to deserve being compared to that bill.
Simple fact: If we’re going to provide unlimited healthcare to everyone that needs it, then ultimately we will have a single-payer system because the government is the only one with enough money to pay for it.
And that’s only because they own the printing press.
Think about how sustainable that scenario is, whether it’s Obamacare of the old system. Then think about the meaning of the word “unlimited” in the first sentence above.
Of course, but less choice of Doctors, less choice of Hospitals, and no choice about their overall costs and of course it will cost you much more. Hey, that is the cost of Socialized medicine...get used to it, it is the new American way... Take out your wallets and grin...
Bears repeating.
It’s now 4.2M.
It wasn’t a Democrat that cast the deciding vote against the 10th Amendment.
They keyword in talking to these people is to use the one term that they understand...
sustainable...
If it doesn’t fail we still get to pay for it. Wow, win-win situation for us taxpayers. WooHoo.
“They keyword in talking to these people is to use the one term that they understand...
sustainable...”
Have you ever been able to discuss economic sustainability with an Obama supporter? I’ve gotten nowhere with it. These guys will go on and on about how “unsustainable” an SUV or private Jet is, but they all truly believe that there is an endless supply of money for any government program just waiting to be conjured up.
In other news, New York City will soon end “inequality” by taxing the rich.
BOHICA.
Full repeal is the only viable solution to this abomination of legislation. But I see the writing on the wall: the Democrats, in an effort to save their political hides, will attempt to patch up the mistakes in a way that plays well to the masses but, in reality, simply makes the law even more unworkable and unsustainable financially.
Big insurance was supposed to make out big time with fewer individual policies (at higher premiums) and being able to being group rate more in line with the new individual rates. Also all competition between carriers (at least on the exchanges) will disappear. And all this with a stop loss guarantee for the first few years.
"Patching up the mistakes" will presumably require some legislation. In which case, the Republican House will have to sign onto "fixing Obamacare".
The Question for the Day is: Will they?
