ping for later video viewing.

I am currently reading “The Coming of The Third Reich” by Richard J. Evans. He comes across as a liberal and seems to mistake that fact that he is far left, so he refers constantly to Nazi Germany as far right.

In an actual working guideline, Far Right is classified as no government, anarchism, and Far Left is total government control, totalitarianism.

Because people like this author Richard Evans (and the vast majority of people think this way) they think that the fascists hated the communists, then that puts them at opposite ends of the spectrum.

It doesn’t. It makes communism and naziism like brothers who hate each other.

Those of us who Identify with the Tea Party are not anarchists. We simply think there should be less government, and the ways you are obligated to surrender money to the government is flawed, and the way the government handles and spends its money is fatally flawed.

Bottom line, liberals are the Nazis and the communists all jumbled together.

Here rlmorel make sure you watch

Third Reich: The Rise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXXc6CSZPfM

Third Reich: The Fall http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjvKz7l_tTs

It is the best documentary I have ever seen about anything, ever.

No Talking Heads, No Analysts, just the German Peoples words at the time.

While no connection is implied today, the fact that you do says volumes about the situation we are in.

Communists and National Socialists are indeed both varieties of socialism, both economically and culturally. However, there are two important distinctions between Communists and National Socialists.

1) Communists have an internationalist worldview. National Socialists have a nationalistic worldview. National Socialism’s inherent racism made it distinctly evil; Communism’s internationalism made it distinctly dangerous to liberty everywhere.
2) Communism’s utopian end-state was a communist anarchy wherein the altruistic New Soviet Man existed for the good of the Proletariat; National Socialism’s utopian end-state was a totalitarian Reich, commanded by a wise Fuhrer, wherein the altruistic Aryan Man existed for the good of the Reich. Both are dreadful and perverse objectives to anyone who values liberty, but their differences would obtain different social policies and different types of evil.

Only if one accepts that all states are socialist to one degree or another, the left/right model does serve to distinguish between these two distinctions. Most Americans have been indoctrinated to view the political spectrum in this way, and thus value being in the middle. After all, nobody in his right mind wants an Auschwitz or a gulag. Modern progressives thus present themselves as a kinder, gentler sort of socialist, a middle-way that avoids the tragedy and excess of Communism and National Socialism. Using this model, liberals successfully moved the “middle” ever leftward, and painted conservatives as some sort of fascist. Of course, it’s a totally bogus model, but it has been a successful propaganda and indoctrination tool.
