RNC: Hey, don’t blame us for Cuccinelli’s loss

RNC: Hey, don’t blame us for Cuccinelli’s loss

ALLAHPUNDIT

... Fun fact: The RNC spent $9 million to help Bob McDonnell win the governor’s seat four years ago. This year, in a much tougher election, they spent $3 million on Ken Cuccinelli, with Cooch so strapped for cash at the end that he had to abandon the D.C. media market the last two weeks. Not all of his money problems were the RNC’s fault — McAuliffe dominated Cuccinelli in fundraising (as expected) and centrist outside groups like the Chamber of Commerce ignored him — but the big drop-off in spending between 2009 and 2013 naturally has people pointing fingers at Reince Priebus and company.

We’re getting a bad rap, says the RNC:

Republican National Committee allies are offering an interesting defense to critics saying the campaign committee could have done more to help the Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli: Blame former RNC chairman Michael Steele.....

Are they blaming Steele for spending too much in 2009?

The fact is that the Rhinos did crap to support Cuccinelli.

Clear that this relationship is just one way. Conservatives bending over backwards, tight nose plugs engaged, to help and vote for McPain, Romney[care] at the top and many lessers below, to be rewarded with NO help for conservatives, nay, destructive help, for the likes of Cooch, Sarah, Cruz, Bachmann, and on and on...

The RNC leadership was probably feeling just a little kindly toward Terrible Terry as the the former head of the DNC. There really is no opposition party when it comes to the RNC.

The RNC is exactly who I blame. Cuccinelli could have won this election.

Truth is, the RNC would rather have a democrat governor than a Tea Party Conservative governor.

“I can’t wait to get the next RNC fundraising call.....”

Hung up on them for years until they finally got the clue. Don’t hear from them much anymore.

I had to get rid of my land line to get rid of the RNC hacks constantly begging for money.

outspent and abandoned byt the GOP and he still made it a tough race

You can tell by how relieved the dems are that he won

OBAMA had to come there to campaign for him!

The GOP is run by big fat stupidheads.

They would rather let a dem win than support a GOP candidate they didn’t select

How can you blame the RNC for the loss when they didn’t even get involved?

I just sent Reincey a FU note in response to a call for a donation and told them the reason.
