Report: Christie Refused to Campaign for Cuccinelli
Breitbart ^ | 11/6/2013 | John Nolte

Posted on 11/06/2013 7:28:43 AM PST by Night Hides Not

Tuesday night and again Wednesday morning, NBC's Chuck Todd reported that New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie refused to campaign for Ken Cuccinelli, the Virginia Republican who narrowly lost his own governor's race to Democrat Terry McAuliffe.

"They begged Christie, and you can make an argument," Todd said on Morning Joe. "That to bring a Chris Christie to Northern Virginia might have helped. But Chris Christie is worried about his own brand."

I wouldn’t even put him in the same category as Obama. Obama is an ideologue with a political objective - destroy America as it is, or was, and create in its place a Marxist state.

Christie is no ideologue. He’s a pragmatist with one objective - personal power.

The more power Christie gains the more he will morph into a John McCain.

Sorry GOPe, Christie's not the man for 2016.

Unfortunately, the choice for the Republican candidate isn't up to the GOP, it's up to Obama and his team. The media will insure (as they have done in the past) that the "correct" candidate is chosen.

Some of these post themes are non-sensical.

I’m confused. Doesn’t everyone hate Christie? Why would the Tea Party want him to campaign with Cuccinelli?

CC visiting northern Virginia, AKA District of Corruption South, would have been a net plus for Cooch.

Appreciate that. Just weird seeing people bellyaching about what a Rino/Democrat/Obama Lover Christie is, then complaining that he didn’t support Cuccinelli enough.

I think Christie would have put Cuccinelli over the top. Too bad he’s disliked by the purists...it’s going to take a coalition with guys like him to take back the Senate and the White House.

So I guess Chuck Todd says it so it must be true?

I don't get why a 6 hr. trip to VA would have changed things. Especially when Christie had his own campaign going on.

This is a dumb story.

Good point. If Christie had campaigned in VA, everyone here would have said what an idiot Cucinelli was for having him.

No doubt Christie would have been blamed for the VA loss.

Fickle crowd.

Yes, Cuccinelli narrowly lost because GOPe RINO Christie didnt interrupt his own NJ campaign and come down to VA to help him out’. I just hates those eRINOs as they only think of themselves’

If this is the winning theme then we are truly screwed.

Christie and NJ go together like poop and stink, but no one else wants anything to do with him.

Rush is an entertainer. I am sure he is predictible...I will tune in.

Christie is in a Blue State and had a #1 goal to win this election big, and he did. Its Very simple.

Like Christie or not I been preaching that conservatives better come up with candidate who demonstrates himself kicking the crap out of Dems making them cave and run scared, not just giving speeches or interviews, quitting or excuses.....not just a talk radio show host type

Or 2016 will be just like 2012 was and GOP will nominate someone like Romney again.

I voted for Christie, and I don't care what anyone else thinks about him.
Especially people that bash him for being fat.

I'm very glad that I don't have a gov mcgreevy or corzine or buono.

RE” I voted for Christie, and I don't care what anyone else thinks about him.

I been known to make fun of him from time to time but I live in Maryland with a single party Dem government that gets to do anything they want, so I can understand why you would vote for him and be happy he won.

CA is now single Dem party like Maryland and I remember the 2010 elections there for Senator and governor and a few on FR who lived there in CA were actually trashing their two GOP candidates during the general election, actually helping the Democrats win there, because they were not pure enough.
Now they live in a single party Dem state and look what Brown is doing to them. One I knew well doesnt post here anymore because I would love to ask her.
.

Life is not that great under Dem rule. I know from here.

I wish I had a Republican Senator to match my Gov.

The dems did whatever they felt like in NJ too.
I'm hoping they get angry now and move away :))

I understand why you are happy today, it makes perfect sense. I got O Malley and an all Dem house and Senate here.

If you listen to Rush types alone you would think that we could beat Dems by only electing those who are in solid Red states.

Its make believe.

The establishment gang demand conservatives support every kook leftist they run, but damned if that loyalty and support goes the other way when a conservative is the nominee.

The GOP establishment the perpetual 5th column in the Republican party always there to insure a liberal win.
