Report: Christie Refused to Campaign for Cuccinelli
Breitbart ^ | 11/6/2013 | John Nolte

Posted on 11/06/2013 7:28:43 AM PST by Night Hides Not

Tuesday night and again Wednesday morning, NBC's Chuck Todd reported that New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie refused to campaign for Ken Cuccinelli, the Virginia Republican who narrowly lost his own governor's race to Democrat Terry McAuliffe.

"They begged Christie, and you can make an argument," Todd said on Morning Joe. "That to bring a Chris Christie to Northern Virginia might have helped. But Chris Christie is worried about his own brand."

How many more times are we going to be betrayed by the Whigs before we strike out on our own? The argument that we must vote for the Whig candidate or else RATs get elected doesn’t hold anymore. THEY are actively trying to get RATs elected.

THEY have already decided who their candidate is; now it’s our turn.

The RNC didn’t have to send him a single dime, and he still wins....Makes you wonder who pocketed the money.

Which is so totally off the subject of whether or not he might have switched just a percent of soccer moms in Northern Virginia and helped Cooch win…….

I will never vote for Christie for President the same way I didn’t vote for John McCain. Christie (beside his liberal track record) and embracing of Obama did two things I didn’t like:

1. He should have put Lonegan’s vote on the SAME day as his re-election campaign (and supported him big-time!) when he would have had COATAILS!!

2. He should have campaigned on behalf of Ken. Cuccinelli!

I HATE HIM!

He’s a bastard, that’s for sure.

Unlike the Dems who are policy driven - they will do anything to make America a socialist state - even fall on their own swords, with this guy its all about personal power and ego.

As I said many times before, to view a parallel to this man’s career you have to go back to Ancient Rome and look at any member of the Triumvirates. THEY demonstrate what motivates this guy.

I’m not sorry Buono lost as she would have been a worse threat, and Christie is the best we can get in today demographic in New Jersey.

The failure of this guy to pull any other GOP candidates for the legislature along on his coat-tails bodes poorly for the future for New Jersey. If he were really concerned with making a difference in the state he would have campaigned for the other GOP candidates statewide as they could have helped forward his agenda. But as that is not his objective, he decided to hang them out to dry as he hung out Lonegan and Cuchinelli.

Its all about Christie and I pray this bastard never gets nominated in 2016, but you can be VERY sure that THAT is what he will be aiming at throughout his next term and NOT what is best for the citizens of New Jersey.

Christie lost my support for national office when he got kissy-faced with 0bama just a few weeks before the 2012 election. He obviously cares about nothing but his career.

Now that he has helped thow a true conservative under the bus he can count on me actively working against him if he runs for national office.

Not really. What happened yesterday is in the rear view mirror. Gotta look forward from here.

He’s a bastard that’s for sure, but given a choice between him and Hillary. it would be very hard not to pull the lever for the bastard.

I’d sooner lose with honor and my head held high rather than allow Crusty anywhere near my campaign.

Who needs Christi Kreme the O-lover when Northern Va. is a commie infested treasure trove of leftist votes to seal the dirty Dems deal no matter what.

Pretty obvious. Once he got passed over for VP, he started running for re-election. Why the storm was a god-send for him, why he got so palsy with the string-bean.

Absolutely do not trust Christie. Feel he is a double dealer and would sell out a Constitutional format if it suited his lame ego.

Was Ted Cruz campaigning for Cuccinelli in VA?

By all accounts I've read, Cuccinelli avoided Cruz in the aftermath of the temporary lapse in funding of 17% of the federal government. Ted was apparently too toxic for the Cooch.

Cooch should've brought him back last week, would have been excellent for shoring up the base. Just think of all the free advertising he would've had.

IMHO, these candidates need advisors who are Tea Partiers...we know who the base is of the Republican party, and how to fire them up.

You’re a fool if you don’t want to learn the lesson of history….but to your point, THIS ARTICLE that YOU commented on is ABOUT YESTERDAY…..thus, your point is off point.

The article was about Virgnia, not you. The article was about Christie’s impact on the Va Gov race, not about YOUR future Prez vote. Just sayin….

I’m confused. Doesn’t everyone hate Christie? Why would the Tea Party want him to campaign with Cuccinelli?

Christie is obviously angling for a Presidential run in 2016. This article shows me, from what he did yesterday, why I should not support him.

You are free to draw whatever conclusions you wish. Enjoy your day.

If Christie is elected President it will be because Democrats voted for him because no self respecting conservative Republican will. It looks like the MSM has already selected the Republican candidate as they did the last three elections. This time though I will not hold my nose and vote for them. It’s either Cruz and/or Palin or my wife and I will sit out the election. I don’t think we will be alone and there is no way a Republican, even a RINO, can win without their base turning out.
