How the heck did that happen?
Most public polls leading up to Election Day had Democrat Terry McAuliffe coasting to victory, some by double digits, in the Virginia governors race. Instead he squeaked by, beating Republican Ken Cuccinelli by less than 3 percentage points.

McAuliffe outraised Cuccinelli by almost $15 million, and he used the cash advantage to pummel him on the airwaves. A lack of resources forced the Republican to go dark in the D.C. media market during the final two weeks.
The Republican National Committee spent about $3 million on Virginia this year, compared to $9 million in the 2009 governors race.
The Chamber of Commerce spent $1 million boosting McDonnell in 2009 and none this time.
If the Republicans would have rallied around the nominee instead of refusing to support Cuccinelli, he would have won, said a GOP source involved in the race.

RNC spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski defended the committee, saying that it has to make hard choices about how to spend limited resources.

Now that I believe, plus any biases they have are to be expected.
Their biggest mistake on that was estimating who will come out to vote, and having an effective get out the vote in swing states.
Recall Rush was saying all the (nearly) external polls were wrong, that Romney would win big inspite of polls.
God save me from the absolute hatred I have for these people. I am seriously afraid I’m going to lose my salvation over it.
McAuliffe won Virginia running as a liberal and without the black vote turning out.
This has never happened. It might not have been the rout that was predicted, but this is very troubling indeed.
In comparison, Wilder and Obama got the blacks to the polls while Warner, Kaine, and Webb ran as pragmatic blue dogs and denied liberalism.
Check this out, Mark!
Cuccinelli should have made Sarvis an offer he couldn’t refuse. He would have won by a landslide.
The reality is the GOPe didn’t school anyone.
What they DID do is piss off millions of people.
Not a winning strategy in my opinion.
To your question of why blame the GOP when we didn’t want the GOP - or some version of that question. My thoughts are simply that the GOP is out blaming EVERYONE else yet doing nothing to help. How does that square?
Both are pointing fingers at each other now. That is obvious. “its their fault’
But in the case of this thread the complaint is that those mean GOPe who we swore not to give money to didnt spend enough of their $$$ on our guy who (barely) lost, I heard Levin use this the past couple of days and it makes little sense. Dont conservatives have $$$, besides Rush and Hannity?
The advantage the GOPe has today is that their star guy (the fat man) won big. So they get to be happy right now.
HEY! eGOP YOU ARE DONE!
I understand what you are asking and my own opinion is quite simple. When the RNC wants to make me believe they are FOR me and what my values are, and then refuses to support the candidate that matches my values, I have the normal reaction to wonder why. Why do they try to make me believe they HEAR me and when given the opportunity to put their money where their mouth is, they fail.
As for their grand win in NJ. My sense is that one is going to come back to bite ‘em in the rear. CC is already out there flapping his gums saying some really really offensive things. Of course he is right in line with the RNC was of thinking, that being Rove et al.
The sooner we flush out the ones behind the curtain who undermine what this country is screaming for, the better we will be. I for one am kind glad to see it play out this way, it makes it so much easier for me to identify who is working against me. I have a list going, I will not forget.
In the real world, no body likes being misled or lied to.
That is the nut of it, the RNC can say all the ‘right’ things, but their actions reveal their true intent.
Limiting it just to the RNC ...
Now I do recall a few of weeks ago Priebus publicly praising Cruz on his Senate all night speech~ Sept 24, and launched an online petition for it.
I assume to get donations.
But after the shutdown WE heard that his RNCs big $$$ contributors threatened to cut off the RNC $$$ over Tea Party, they were all mad about it.
I recall Levin talking about it.
It will suck to be them soon, they are gonna loose it all and they will be worse than when Bob Michael's had to kiss Tip O Neil and Bob Foley's sorry asses because they treated the GOP worse than their golf caddy.
I don't want to fight the RNC anymore, you won E-GOP. Good, I will stay home, not volunteer, no money like last cycle and worse, I will vote for a handful, not the ticket. Rino Rick my Nerd the Gov in MI, I won't pull the lever for him and it may go down the ballot as well.
The E-GOP thinks they will win big in 2014? They may just get their @$$ handed to them as we stay home even more than some here did because the couldn't pull the lever for Romney...
So don't forget to rally around the RINO nominee in 2016!
Sincerely, The RINOs
