When a loyal leader on your own team says there is a crisis of confidence surrounding your signature initiative, youve got trouble.
Thats the phrase Democratic Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski of Maryland used repeatedly Tuesday morning to describe the rollout of the new health care law as she questioned Marilyn Tavenner, the head of the health agency tasked with overseeing the laws implementation.
I believe that theres been a crisis of confidence created in the dysfunctional nature of the website, the canceling of policies, and sticker shock from some people, said Mikulski, who has generally been a strong ally of the administration.

“Mikulski must be really hearing it from constituents.”
Maryland is safe for Rats. Mybe she is one of the rare Democrats with a conscience.
Let’s hope the crisis of confidence morphs into a crisis of conscience and a resistance to single-payer system. This should be based on the fact that the gubmint central planners are too inept and untrustworthy to run 20% of our economy.
What I mean is that mandated health care coverage is shifting the US from indivicualized health care to a public health model. The government gets to decide what's best for you, and what's best for you is what's best for keeping the population as a whole healthy. The reason the US was such a great incubator of progress in medical discoveries was that people were free to choose new options. Now, everybody will be treated the same. There won't be enough people who can afford to opt out to support discovery. Even their care, though better, will stagnate.
The problem is huge. The mathmatician in me says things can't stagnate. If left alone, they'll fluctuate. If they're manipulated away from natural ebb and flow, things will stay stable for awhile, but when control is lost it will be catastrophic. (think housing market)
Why can't anyone see it? We've reached a point with growing populations and technology where there are too many people for what's needed for the elite to thrive. It can't end well. So, I'm paranoid. "Our" leaders could use a dose of that. Take back control from the elite.
Democrats have nothing to fear.
I have recently been in contact with pro life people, some very religious, and pro second amendment people, all who voted Democrat in this past election.
Cognitive dissonance apparently is the norm in America.
Additionally, the msm has done a remarkable job as casting the Republican party as the party of rich, old, angry, racist, white MEN. Very uncool. And no one in America today wants to be uncool. So, voting Democrat is the cool thing to do, regardless of the issues, or how it defeats your self interest.
We. Are. Screwed.
Yes. It amazes me me the level of stupidity from people who are normally rational people.

You have to pay attention to see it. Americans are too stupid, and too distracted to be bothered by issues. They vote personality and empty promises. Exactly what Democrats offer.
We are entering a long cold winter in America.
Bait and switch? Out and out lying? Citizens 'catching on' to the liars? It's more like a crisis in waking up to reality than of 'confidence'...
Yes, but how do we switch the incentives back to something rational?
Indeed. You can't get the midget lesbo out. I apologize to all conservative midgets and lesbos.
“Yes, but how do we switch the incentives back to something rational?”
Sorry to say, but we are beaten.
The left took over the schools, and indoctrinated kids so that socialism is seen as desirable, and critical thought is shunned. Voting based on wanting to be cool and personality is accepted as valid.
The msm is all in on this, and sells it hard.
All anyone can do is look out for themselves, prepare, and realize that we are moving left, fast.
Moonpie Mary Landrieu actually called Obama out on his lie-about-the-lie yesterday. It’s gettin’ REEEEEEAL interesting!
Too many heads are in the sand, they won't wake up until it's too late.
Right out of Atlas Shrugged, we can't waste our time and treasure helping those who refuse to see reality, the train wreck that's coming.
