Several reporters asked Carney about Obamas attempted revision, and why the president wont admit that he misspoke by telling Americans you can keep it.
Thank you for the question. I just want to be clear. The president was referring to the law and to the fact that the law was written in a way, Carney initially responded.
When pressed to explain why the president wont say he misspoke in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, Carney declared that its a little bit more complicated than that.
As he tried to deny the contradiction between Obamas you can keep it statements and his Monday if it hasnt changed exception, Carney issued a stream of irrelevant comments and non-sequiturs.

Or it depends on the meaning of the word “keep.”
Or “you” or “can”.
The executive branch is basically a game of 3 card Monte, you know.
The house never loses (unless it’s setting up a mark) because it controls the game and makes the rules.
But Monte isn’t as crooked as the WH. They’re as crooked as a dog’s hind leg.
The presidential Spokes-Kid needs a good beating.
I just heard this upon returning home. Did Carney call out the media and other Dems for knowing what was in the ACA but not informing the public?? Was it a case of “you can’t blame the the administration now about health care plan cancellations when you knew exactly what was going on and what was going to happen?” I have to find the clip and re-listen because there was a lot of gibberish.
Congress are culpable for not reading the bill before signing it. All that voted for it should be turned out on their ear. I heard on a talk show today that the law itself provides within it the provision that everyone’s income taxes will go up by whatever percentage over projected costs is needed to keep Obamacare afloat.
In many rural counties, families have exactly ONE plan to choose from. That wasn't the case before ObamaCAIR.
We knew that and I agree wholeheartedly but my question was whether Carney actually called out congress in and the media on this very failure in his stream of gibberish, proving that a) those who voted for it did not read it and therefore, according to him, have no standing to now complain about the collateral damage of individuals losing coverage and b) the media did not do its job as watchdog to inform the public completely if all of this info was available in the bill itself. *We* knew both of those things, too, but the public did not, and it’s astonishing if Carney actually made the claim publicly.
When libs say “it’s more complicated than that”,
you can be sure that what they’re saying is that their agenda
is worth dishonesty to achieve it.
This is EXACTLY what he meant.
Yup.
