"Who is the Attorney General who may have won?"

That's Mark Obenshain. Last I heard, he has a 481 vote lead over the Democrat, and it's headed for a recount.

Also, we have a solid majority in the House, so good luck to the criminal when it comes to getting anything done.

"How did Jackson do for AG? Sorry, haven’t been following that one too close."

He lost, too, unfortunately.

"Did Obenshain win the AG race?"

He has a 481 vote lead (last I heard) and it's going for a recount. I expect votes from the dead will be uncovered in an open grave in Fairfax County, thereby pushing the Dem over the top.

I just hope true conservatives feel emboldened. We’re not getting anywhere playing the game their way, so there’s not much left to lose if we try it our way.

Of course I’m disappointed, but overall it was a much better showing than I had thought up until the weekend. This was the first time I watched the votes unfold in real time in Virginia, and I realize how much more we’ll need to pull from everywhere in the state outside of NoVa. We need to be ahead a lot more before they start dumping the results from up there.

I hope Cuccinelli knows it wasn’t his fault. He ran about as good of a campaign as he could relying on what amounts to third party support.

It might come down to Fairfax Co. absentees compared to other counties.

Looks like around 6k in Fairfax Co. still havent been counted. If the dim takes those 2 to 1 that is a net of 2k.

Not sure whether those 6k outstanding are just absentee’s requested and then not returned or if they report just absentees turned in.

Keep on counting. Keep on counting. Don’t stop till the Marxist wins the election. Makes no difference if it takes six months. The GOP will just roll over and play dead. They want the Marxis to win. Hell they’ll help you count.

You’re right, and there are inarguably good things to take away from this. But like you, I hate this for Ken Cuccinelli. I believe he’s a good man, and he deserves better.

“...the Commonwealth AG [Obenshein, by the Good Grace of God] can continue to file suit against ObamaCare, and there’s not a damn thing that Gov. McAuliffe can do about it.

Thanks for pointing that out. Been looking for silver linings all day. I figure long term, after 4 years of Gov. Huckster, VA may not elect another D for a generation or two.

I thought that after that four years of Tim Kaine. Unfortunately, the memory span of the average voter is roughly nine days.

In the last two hours, Herring has gained 926 and Obenshein has lost 275. What happened?

Obenshein is back up by 726 votes. An error in a precinct in PWC gave Herring more votes than he really had.

Just saw Obenshein’s sister on O’Reilly and she said he’s up by 1,100 votes and they are having a recount.

Obenshain is now up by 726 votes.

So the lead has changed multiple times since last night. . .some articles are saying that Virginia may be counting absentee votes, provisional votes, and checking for errors.

"The trailing candidate cannot request a formal recount until the State Board of Elections certifies the entire count November 25."

"A recount is permitted by request if the vote margin is 1 percent or lower. If the margin is less than 0.5 percent, taxpayers could cover the cost of the process."

Leesburg Today article updated at 7:08 p.m.
