Thread for discussion of tonight's VA Gov Elecitons Result. Is this too early?
>I advocate getting rid of Fairfax and Loudoun counties. Give them to Maryland and DC. They have almost nothing in common with the rest of the state.<
I heard this sentiment many times today from native Virginians. People are disgusted with the democrats in the rest of the commonwealth.
Very true, and VA is still stuck on stupid! And nominating black conservatives sadly won't work either.
“Did the other networks call it too?”
I don’t watch TV so I don’t know. But go take a look at the numbers. This is not a blowout by any stretch and it’s actually damnably close.

This is exactly what the GOP wanted. They wanted a message sent to the Tea Party...they wanted a defeat to discredit the tea party and diminish any strength or credibility they have left before the 2016 election. They got what they wanted. And fought for.
The government shut down hurt.
I like your fighting attitude here tonight. There are some real Debbie Downers on this thread. The GOPe are going to find the road ahead a difficult one without us. We have to convey this message at once.
I've always been a small "l" libertarian, but as of today the Libertarian Party is dead to me. These idiots backed a statist like Sarvis over someone who actually could have pushed back on big government. Damn them to hell. FULP!
Here is the counter: “My opponent thinks that you are stupid. I am depending upon your intelligence, common sense and discernment.” Even though you know that most people ARE clueless, gullible sheeple. You’ve got to say it and repeat it nauseatingly. You MUST fight the lies! Bob
I think you can add their robo calls claiming Ken favored Obamacare to that tab. Pretty sad when you have to win by dishonestly accusing the other side of supporting your bogus policy...
It does not matter whether KC concedes or not. A concession is a gracious gesture to the winner...that is all it is. The winner of the election gets to take office whether or not the loser concedes.
My sister believed those McA ads. I encouraged her to find out the truth and she found out the Democrats were lying. She voted straight GOP today. I am very proud of her.
Thanks for all you do Hokiemom. The establishment is horrible. Ken shouldhave easily won
>> This is exactly what the GOP wanted.
The GOP will get far more than it bargained for.
Vote out the scumbag RINOs in 2014.
“Wish wed wake up tomorrow morning with a Cooch win! That would be sweeeeeet! :)I know...dreaming......”
I don’t think that will happen. HOWEVER, we could wake up with less than 1% difference.
We’re at 96.93% of precincts and still less than 1.5% difference. That is NOT an election you wave your hand over and say “it’s done.”
“When they get back, they are responsible for catching up. “ Having worked in the govt contract world I have to say your post is HILARIOUS!!!! Show us ONE instance where any govt worker was in anyway demoted, fired, or even formally reprimanded for not “catching up.”
OMG, my sides hurt! What a bunch of hooey! Govt workers are depts that are so interdependent and incestuous, the blame is NEVER fully pinned on any one person. Give us a break! Poor widdle govt workers,,still had a job at the end of their paid three weeks..OOPs, but they are so behind,,,,good grief!

NOVA has been counted...
“.they wanted a defeat to discredit the tea party and diminish any strength or credibility they have left before the 2016 election. They got what they wanted. And fought for.”
Only to those like you who happily create negative fodder for the Dems and GOPEErs to use against the Tea Party.
Nope.
The reason that your freedom is lost is that the GOP establishment chose it.
The GOPe not supporting their own candidate is what cost them this election. Karl Rove is happy tonight, he didn’t spend a cent to help Cucc, the RNC spent very little. In 2009 the RNC spent $9M to win by 17% and this year they didn’t even spend $3M. They left him out to dry. Now Rove and the GOPe will say “See the TEA Party are losers, and “moderates” like Christie are winners”.
Yes indeed, but only b/c the GOP-e formed a circular firing squad around Cruz and Lee.
