Obama’s Catastrophic Victory.
WSJ ^ | 5 Nov 2013 | Peggy Noonan

Posted on 11/05/2013 6:31:25 AM PST by Rummyfan

So the program debuts and it’s a resounding, famous, fantastical flop. The first weeks of the news coverage are about how the websites don’t work, can you believe we paid for this, do you believe they had more than three years and produced this public joke of a program, this embarrassment?

But now it’s much more serious. No one’s thinking about the websites. They wish you were thinking about the websites! I bet America hopes the websites never work so they never have to enroll.

They said if you liked your insurance you could keep your insurance—but that’s not true. It was never true! They said if you liked your doctor you could keep your doctor—but that’s not true. It was never true! They said they would cover everyone who needed it, and instead people who had coverage are losing it—millions of them! They said they would make insurance less expensive—but it’s more expensive! Premium shock, deductible shock. They said don’t worry, your health information will be secure, but instead the whole setup looks like a hacker’s holiday. Bad guys are apparently already going for your private information. . . .

Anyone who resists the vile socialist policies of Obama is heroic. Those Republicans who undercut or did not support Ted Cruz should be ashamed.

Of course, the victory Obama is ultimately seeking - the utter and total ruin and ultimate destruction of the United States - has, as yet, eluded him.

But, of course, he has two more years to work on it.

Peggy’s love/hate/love/hate relationship with the president.

Sorry Peggy, but your neurosis is not covered by ObamaCare.

All of us, even those covered by employer health plans, are going to pay more for inferior coverage than we had before. And this is due to the strangling bureaucratic regulations of Obamacare.

This would be a good campaign slogan, that we are paying more for less coverage now. Was it worth it, to expand bureaucracy and regulation, and increase all of our costs, in order to provide coverage to the uninsured in this manner? And in the end, we still could have millions of uninsured anyway? This is a debate worth having. Hopefully the GOP will not blow that debate.

Yep. I predict that for the next 20 to 30 years pundits will be referring to future unpopular or unsuccessful projects as "so-and-so's 'obamacare' moment..." or "...that has all the potential to turn into another obamacare..." etc.

Nixon's Watergate, Carter's hostage rescue, Bush's no new taxes, Clinton's blue dress moment... All passe. obamacare is the new standard for utter and abject failure. Never have so many worked so hard for such a big program that is such a fantastical failure.

Obama has three more years. He is president until January 20, 2017, and I’m sure he will use his powers until the last possible moment. Can’t wait to see all the pardons he issues on the morning of Jan. 20, 2017, taking a cue from Bill Clinton, who pardoned so many on his last morning in office.

“All they had to do was clone Medicaid.gov.”

Moocheles College Marxist friend had to get hers, hence nothing sensible for the website was considered.

Wow .... a regular flogging of Obamacare, Dems/Progs by Noonan! May this article be the tip of the media iceberg as Obama & his Dem cohorts continue to say “damn the reality torpedoes, full speed ahead”.

What the h is she talking about? Civil Rights, Social Security ‘Jaws’. I think she forgot how to use a metaphor.

This is not anything resembling the civil rights law. The opposition to this thing are not going to turn into dinosaurs, bigots. Is that the implication? Republicans did not certainly did not oppose civil rights

We knew years ago this thing, which has no funding, would be ad contiue to be a disaster.

What is she talking about?

All I’d change in that article would be the last line. Instead of “your” country, it needs to be “our” country. He’s no countryman of mine!

Right, so Peggy's idea is for the GOP to help fix this excreble plan; to act like grown-ups and save the childish dimwits from the consequences of their own mendacity.

This is why you get no respect from conservatives Peggy. Its like you have paid no attention to what happens when we are the "bigger man" and do whats right;

WE GET TARRED AND FEATHERED FOR THE RESULTS OF THE IDIOT DEMOCRATS! and then we own it, thank you very much.

Peggy, I love you, but you're a fool.

Obama has three more years.

I wonder about that. For anyone who cares to notice he is accelerating his purge of military senior officers at an alarming pace. Sounds like a long term power grab to me.
