I found this book about Watergate and Nixon. It is eye opener right form the beginning. The Watergate scandal rocked the American public, while there was a huge outrage regarding the scandal itself, few have delved into the events surrounding the 25th Amendment, or how unnoticed the 25th Amendment (inspired by Nelson Rockefeller) and was enacted into law. Its a good read and revealing relationships of Nixon, Agnew, Kissinger, Rockefeller and the events that orchestrated in to the Watergate scandals.
And the name of the book . . .
I don’t know if your browser won’t accept the link, but you’ll find the title there....if you just click on it!
The 25th amendment was proposed in 1965 and ratified in 1967, before Nixon was elected President. It was inspired by the situation after Kennedy’s assassination, when the person next in line if LBJ were to die was the elderly Speaker of the House. It was first actually used by Nixon, when Agnew resigned.
The name of the Book ‘Watergate Amendment’
