A doctor shortage is threatening to make the roll-out of the Affordable Care Act even more difficult — and it could create lines for care and services.

New Yorkers are notorious for wanting things immediately, and that includes medical care.

But even doctors who support Obamacare say there could be delays due to more patients and fewer doctors, CBS 2’s Dick Brennan reported Monday.

Obama will import doctors who studied at the Medical School of the Congo, and when you visit him he will shake rattles at you and give you some chicken bones in a little bag.

In socialism everything is always rationed and it is of much lower quality

in capitalism,as in the millions of products for sale in malls , super markets or on the Internet , there is always an abundance and consumers have freedom of choice of what brands to buy as in the Dollar Tree where every item is a 1 dollar $

plus everyone is also a poor slave of the government in socialism , just another con of socialism. democrats want that

Who needs doctors when we’ll have death panels? Just load the suckers down with pain pills and send them home. An hour’s training and anybody can do it. They’ll contract it out to Acorn.

CBS just had a Captain Obvious moment.

Almost, almost.

They stated "Just by sheer numbers, doctor retirements will increase."

Yeah, just by sheer numbers. Obamacare will in absolutely no way cause doctors to retire early and many talented college students avoid medical school like the plague. It's merely demographics.

Well, they will just have to force the doctors to work, won’t they.

Guess they’ll pass a law to deal with those greedy doctors.

A dotor friend of mine says that doctors no longer drive Cadillacs—they drive Tauruses. If it’s true that the financial rewards are no longer all that great, what will motivate a kid to spend ten of the best years of his life studying to be a doctor?

(CBS New York--ugh) — A doctor shortage is threatening to make the roll-out of the Affordable Care Act even more difficult — and it could [ha! it will] create lines for care and services.

Socialism (aka Marxism)...

...Instant shortages and horrible quality of goods and services, every time it governs/regulates people.

Absolutely, every time.

I know several college kids that will not now consider medical school because of ObamaCare. Most of them have entrepreneurial instincts and viewed themselves in private practice. They do not want to be involved with the government so they are passing on a medical career now.

Not a good omen.

There will be plenty of doctors performing all of those procedures NOT covered by Obamacare, i.e. LASIK, breast enlargement, plastic surgery, etc.

Now if we can only get them to perform backroom heart transplants, knee surgeries, etc.
