Does GOP want to lose this election?
World Net Daily ^ | 11-4-13 | Joe Kovacs

Posted on 11/04/2013 4:21:30 PM PST by ReformationFan

If Republican Ken Cuccinelli does not defeat Democrat Terry McAuliffe in Virginia’s race for governor Tuesday, there is a strong possibility the GOP establishment will actually be happy, according to talk-radio giant Rush Limbaugh.

“‘You’re losing elections for us!’ I think that’s what they want to say,” Limbaugh said Monday. “I don’t know this, but I’m telling you that I don’t think there would be that much disappointment if Cuccinelli lost.”

“If that’s right, if that happens to be true, stop and think about what that means: that you actually have the Republican establishment with a chance to win another governorship in Virginia, and they’d be OK if they lose it because they’ll get to blame the tea party and conservatives for it. And I think there’s very little doubt that the Republican Party is not happy with its base – tea party and conservatives.”

Limbaugh wonders why establishment figures in the Republican Party have an aversion to tea partiers within the GOP.

“Why should we be afraid of the tea party? What has the tea party been wrong about yet?” asked Limbaugh.

“The real curiosity here … and it’s a genuine stumbling block. It’s a real mystery why do the Republicans not want to win? Because it sure doesn’t seem like they do, does it?”

I think that the GOP-e wants to formally form a national unity party with the Dims. Attacking the TP may be part of the bargain. That way, elections would be absolutely meaningless.

Cooch did not abandon his base...what an idiot you are...he is one of the true conservatives..abandon his base - the loons are on the loose tonight. What an uninformed, low information voter you are and did I mention an idiot.

Cooch has been grossly outspent by 10-1 in just the last week. Abandoned his base - you should take yourself to the woodshed or should I ask if you are Bolling?

"Cuccinelli will lose simply because he abandond his base."

How, specifically, has Cuccinelli "abandond" his base? Can you explain?

I despise these SOBs with every fiber of my being. I’ve seen that Virginia Beach mayor with his grinning campaign ads, endorsing McAuliffe. Filthy traitors....don’t even get me started on Bolling.

Perhaps Mr. Kovacs is catching on to the dirty little secret that “the GOP” is nothing but a bunch of closet commie DemoncRATs.

Same here. It’s obvious they long ago quit listening or caring about their constituents and only answer to the DC/BIG $$ donors/lobbyists. GOPe = DNC. I’ve told them this on their donation requests and they’ve FINALLY stopped sending me their daily mailings.

They’ll never get another cent from us, either. We’ll contribute to individual candidates, but the RNC can go play in traffic.

I am with you 100%.

The GOPe is truly an enemy of the Tea Party and Conservatives.

I predicted before the Romney loss that the republicans had two choices.

After Romney lost they would either move more towards the right and join the Tea Party and try to win as conservatives, or move left and join the democrats and hope to destroy the Tea Party.

They have joined with the democrats and face a slaughter in 2014 for joining the left. Hopefully enough Tea Party candidates will step up to fill their seats or the democrat party will run this country into the dirt.

I have a bad feeling about our future and can only pray that we step up and take this beautiful country back.

If they won’t support conservatives who win primaries, and we won’t support progressives any more, then that sounds like there needs to be a split. Neither of our favored candidates can win when we are fighting within the party. If we aren’t undercut from within by Rovian backstabbers, we might have a better chance.

A development that occurred here in Gloucester County, VA may be giving credence to Rush’s theory.. Some senior members of the establishment wing of the county’s GOP are pissed off that a TEA Partier was elected as the chairwoman, and survived a recent challenge... so much so that they made the announcement during a conference call Friday that they were writing in Bill Bolling’s name tomorrow as a protest.

Fecking GOPe screws us again....

Where was Rush Limbaugh when the GOPe did the exact same thing to Bret Schundler in NJ in ‘01?

They’re not anti corruption or antibiggovernment. They just want to make sure THEY are the ones who benefit from the corruption with THEIR big government plans.

There is little difference between the gop and ‘rat wings of the uniparty. Conservatives need not apply.

I've been saying for years that this is a one party system. Every day I'm proven right.

The GOPe bray over and over that you have to support whomever wins the primaries ... as long as it is their guy.

What surprises me is that anyone is still surprised by this.

Of course they are going to support McAuliffe he's really nothing but a poster boy for crony capitalism, the only -ism they support. It always has been, and always will be about the Benjamins. If enough honest-to-God tea partiers got to Washington, it might put a big crimp in their scamming of the electorate.
