HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An off-duty reserve deputy from Louisiana shot and wounded a suspected robber in north Houston overnight.

Authorities say the deputy pulled out his gun and shot the robber in the neck. His condition is unknown at this time.
The deputy and his brother left the scene and called 911. Investigators are not sure if the robbery was a setup.

The two women have been arrested. Police must believe that they were involved.

This was an “off duty reserve deputy”. Sounds like an ordinary Joe who helps out the sheriff department sometimes.
Notice the stretch by the old media to make this an “official” shooting rather than self defense by an armed citizen.
