On Friday, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) defended Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, telling Obamacare critics at an event in Memphis to "get over it."
"Change is hard. Get over it," Cohen said, according to National Journal. "Barack Obama is president, and the Affordable Care Act is the law."

The voters may have the last word with this arrogant, insensitive man.
You know how they delayed the employer mandate for a year, to get past the 2014 elections? Well, that's not going to work so well for them. In the Fall of 2014, employees should start getting notices from their employers that things are going to change with their insurance. Cohen might be in for a big surprise when people cast their vote.
How about when he gets voted out of office telling him, "Get over it".

If I was a punk ass from Tennessee who was exempt from having to choke down the ObamaCare **** sandwich, I’d probably feel the same way you do, Stevie boy.

"Change is hard. Get over it,"...the exhortation of every opportunistic scam artist I've ever run into - you just don't like what I'm doing because it involves something new - should have been over the door at Nazi headquarters.....

Gone are the days of “The Buck Stops Here”, eh?
Well. Maybe he was inspired by Hillary’s success with “What difference does it make!”
And others, like “Let them eat cake!” and “Some are more equal than others!”

I’d like to see Mr. Duncan say those words to the faces of the very ill patients who are losing their doctors and hospitals currently helping them stay alive. Oh wait, that is what the Senate said to the children with cancer during the government shutdown!

Here’s the wikipedia page for the guy.

He’s in Harold Ford’s old district. The huge Democratic advantage there (D+22), likely explains his arrogance towards critics (Pete Stark in training, and all that). With such a D-heavy district, it’s not likely he’ll be defeated in 2014, but who knows?

I hope this arrogant piece of crap gets booted out on his ass next November by a TEA Party candidate.
And I hope someone was smart enough to videotape this arrogant twerp’s comments at the Memphis Obamacare gabfest.
Talk about a ready-made campaign commercial.

No, THAT was an Amendment to the Constitution. Federal “laws” are disobeyed everyday by millions of people, with little or no consequences. All that is required is the willpower to do so, the public numbers in general civil disobedience or even better the “de-funding” of the enacting legislation and support.
People are deciding in large numbers they are NOT going to go along with this mere law.

Correct. The fact that it was an amendment makes it yet worse. The Volstead Act was the law that followed the amendment in question. Both amendment and law basically gave us Sharia law in this respect for 23 years.

Laws are made by mere humans and are subject to amendment and repeal. It took a Constitutional Amendment to rid us of human slavery. What will it take to rid us of this repellant law? Pain. Excruciating, unyielding pain, across the boards, and in every American household.
