With much sadness I announce the loss of my oldest brother. "LanceyHoward". A heart attack was the cause. Words can hardly express the heartache this has caused our/his family. FreeRepublic was part of the "air" he breathed. His last contribution was a Comment the very day he died on Nagging Women, something his dear wife never was. Please pray for her, his three children, and two grandchildren. Thank you all the pleasure FreeRepublic brought him.

Leonard, May I also offer my condolences to your family members upon the passing on of your elder brother.
I did know of his passing away until today via. another post.
I would like to think he is now serving in the good Lord's Marine Corps., standing smartly at attention and guarding the Gates of Heaven.

I'm so sorry. I just saw the notice of your brother's passing on the In Memoriam page. I remember many of his discussions here. Deepest condolences to his wife and family. May he rest in peace.

Just now learned of Lancey's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I believe he and I saw many things in the same way. I definitely enjoyed the way he expressed his thoughts.

Just learned of Lancey’s untimely passing on another thread, and I was shocked and saddened. He has been a stalwart poster here since the early days of Free Republic, and I shall miss his posts, and his wisdom, immeasurably. I will say a prayer for his soul, and another one for his family. God bless you all.
