The European Parliament called on Thursday (24 October) for EU countries to better implement European environmental rules despite the initial costs involved.
The vote put the EU legislatures seal on a deal with the EU Council of Ministers on the program to lay out the EUs approach to environmental action up to 2020, Living well, within the limits of our planet.

The irony now is that Germany imports a lot of electricity from Poland and the Netherlands.
