I just find it intrigueing that this particular two hour National Geographic special is being shown on the advent of government shutdown and amid rumors of “drills” to exercise emergency actions in a nationwide blackout.

It isn’t a rumor; it has been publicized for a long time. The drill is on Nov. 13,14 and includes the US, Canada, and Mexico.
