From the partial contents of his note - more of which was released yesterday - I’d say he was more likely an anarchist or Occupy type. He was also quite crazy and apparently had been under treatment or perhaps even still was, and his father called the police just before the event because he thought his son was suicidal.
Some of those people (or probably most of them) are crazies who have channeled their lunacy into a political obsession. I was walking by a group of them camped out near a bank and financial headquarters on Broadway a couple of weeks ago and it was like walking by an open-air mental ward, with raving, shouting, and signs painted on ripped up cardboard decrying the “NWO,” among other things.
This, of course won’t get coverage. It interferes with the view of the radical left as flower children.
That said, I think there should be some review of TSA procedures (not arming them, because I wouldn’t trust most of them with a weapon). I have always thought that it was very hazardous to collect all the passengers in one spot, where they are not only unarmed and unprotected but especially vulnerable because they’re usually about half dressed at that point or are busy getting dressed or undressed. Thank God he was obsessed with the TSA, because if he had just fired upon the passengers, we’d have a huge body count.
