If you believe a new study, whites who own guns do so because they harbor racist feelings towards blacks. Indeed, in the study, four Australian and British psychologists also claim that racism is associated with opposition to gun control.
The lead paragraph on this study in Friday's New York Daily News summed up the claim this way: "Racism and guns go together."
So how is racism measured? Well, you are apparently “racist” if you don't agree that the legacy of slavery still has a great impact on how blacks are faring today. After all, slavery was abolished 158 years ago.
Besides, blacks were doing relatively better on many dimensions, such as family stability, during the early 1960s than today.
Of course, people might disagree with these points, but that doesn’t mean that they are racist.

I would say the opposite. When I go to the range there are both whites and blacks there, all with guns in their hands. And guess what, everybody gets along just find. Everybody trusts the other guy enough to stay and have some fun.

I was convicted of "other gun crime". Simple possession, a felony in Illinois when I was convicted in 2001.
Not a valid excuse but I didn't even realize at the time that I was carrying. A forgotten about, .32 semi auto in a large coat pocket, a nosy, probably bent on theft waitress saw it in my coat pocket which was hanging on a coat rack, called the cops and lo and behold, I'm a convicted gun felon.
36 hours in the shit hole county lock up. $2500 in court fees, $3000 in lawyers fees, 18 months probation and I'm a "gun felon".
It pains some here to hear that Illinois did not take away my right to vote too.
I am already the winner of the “trifecta of privilege” according to the progressives at MSNBC — straight, white, male, the ultra-privileged oppressor of all mankind.
Seems only natural that a racist, sexist, homophobe like me would by default own a gun to help out with all the oppressing I gotta do.
The only way for me to atone for my sins (being white, male, and heterosexual) would be to become a race-hating effeminate metrosexual democrat living in a urban area ... but even then it won’t be until I march in a gay pride parade holding my boyfriends hand, wearing a Che T shirt, and carrying an Obama 2016 banner that I would be truly accepted into the “progressive” world.

Have there not been Supreme court cases which declared some gun bans unConstitutional? Can’t it be reversed?
Would you be able to possess firearms in other states?
I was referring to actual crimes committed with a gun, like assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery etc
