I believe that Jim was using a figure a speech and not to take his comment literally. He is able to transfer in and out of his wheelchair.
Yes, I know he can now. He and I have discussed his efforts in transferring as he was getting physical therapy to do that.
The dog was a joke. I had suggested to him earlier he could use this dog’s method - that I know a dog who throws herself down stairs and lands on her feet. I don’t know why she doesn’t break her bones when she throws herself down the stairs.
I’m glad he’s home and now transferring and eating Chinese food instead of cardboard hospital food.
