Two years after pushing out the last American troops, Iraq’s flailing Government has returned to beg Washington for help in taking on a resurgent al-Qaeda.
Amid fears that the terror network is edging closer to establishing its own mini-state in the heart of the Middle East, the Iraqi Prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, is to ask President Obama for military equipment, ranging from attack helicopters to missiles.

I think we need to revisit hostory for a second and remember one of the primary reasons for Rome’s downfall; paying off invading hordes that blackmailed them yet we are doing the very same thing today and expect a different result. I think there’s a definition for that...
And even we, as armchair generals, can guess the schemes of the enemy better than this regime. Here’s what I think is happening. Iraq and element of al Queda are either neutral or friendly but acting like they are hostles so they can get “free stuff” from our idiot CIC fir a faux cause. Iraq will turn iver part of the armaments to al Queda and we will find out we’ve been played once again here in a few months. It oesnt’t matter to 0; as far as he’s concerned he’s arming his own people either way but needs a ruse that will work in front of Congress. I fail to see how they could not consider this.
If it were up to me, I would launch one more attack on the entire islamic middle east.

Me too. But I think Buckley’s point was academics have no real world experience and are driven by ideology that is not only illogical, but destructive. The average person, even in Boston, will act in his own best interests which is generally in the best interest of everybody.
A very real problem is that academics and our ideological Congress and Administration officials have voted that laws they make do not apply to them. During the ADA (Americans with Disabilities) debate a Senator said, “Are you kidding? This law would cost us a fortune just updating the Capital building.” The response was, “We’ll give ourselves an exemption.” That’s how they got enough votes to pass legislation that effectively obsoleted every corporate building then in existence.

Yes, ADA was just one of the stupid laws they passed.
That led to every sidewalk in every city in the country being torn up and ramps put in and cost small business a fortune.It also led to lawsuit after lawsuit. The Urinals down low is one of my pet peeves. No one in a wheel chair can use them anyway and there is always a mess in the floor under them. Educators in this country today are brainwashing out youth. This Common Core BS they have come up with is ridiculous. It is my opinion that the States should run their schools and the Department of Education shut down.
