A Republican congressman is calling on the Justice Department to investigate why state and federal law enforcement raided the home of a veteran investigative reporter and confiscated a stack of her confidential files in August.
“This is unbelievable,” Republican Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert said during remarks on the floor of the House this week. “This is happening in America.”

I heard the woman interviewed by Dennis Miller. The pretext for the 4 am SWAT team raid was a potato gun her husband purchased 5 years earlier on the internet. They just “happened” to confiscate her files and turn them over to the government agency that had the whistle blown on it. She wasn’t even aware the files were stolen until she got a call months later to come pick them up. The Stazi and NKVD have nothing on us now....
I am very impressed with Congressman Gohmert. I would love for him to replace Senator Cornyn.
