As the ACA rolled out, it became clear that millions of policy holders on the individual market would be losing their plans. On Monday night, NBC News revealed that the White House knew this would be the case all along. They revealed that a promise President Barack Obama had made to the public multiple times across two election cyclesthat those who like their health care plans could keep themwas an outright, premeditated lie.
Enter the modern technocrats.
One of the key reasons that America needed health care reform is that a lot of existing health plans were bad, (Business Insiders Josh) Barro explained. There are a lot of health plans that Americans shouldnt be able to keep. America doesnt have a free-market health care system and hasnt for decades, he adds. With taxpayer subsidies so embedded in everybodys plan purchasing decisions, taxpayers have a legitimate interest in ensuring that health plans serve the public interest, not just private interests.
In fact, Barro deploys this form of logic to support the insistence that the health insurance market is a government benefit which should be subject to massive top-down regulation.

thought that was the motto of the Democratic party??
The Anti-Choice Party.
FUBO FUBO FUBO FUBO and once more, FUBO.
LIBs/DIMs hate your Freedom. They will do anything to stifle it: Lie, Cheat, Obfuscate, Steal and Murder. Anything.
WTH is this idiot talking about?
Maybe once he removes his mouth from ObeyMe's.... body.... we might be able to understand him.
And everyone who voted and/or kowtows to him.
**spit**
What he means is that once the government gets involved the customer only gets to choose what the government wants on the menu. But he can choose "freely".
Irony abounds.
It's all in the messaging.
Now these insurance plans that people can sign up for through the healthcare exchange, are these plans offered through private companies? Or are these government run programs? And if these plans are through private companies, are these the lousy companies that no one in a free market wants to buy insurance from? And how are their earnings now? And who are their investors? And if they are government run programs, how in the world will this ever be afforded? It won’t. I’m suspect that in MA at some point in the future, probably when Duval Patrick is out of office, the RomneyCare miracle will turn out to be like the Dukakis-Miracle that wasn’t.
It is a feature of leftist hubris that they always know what’s good for people better than people know for themselves.
We’ve seen it for decades in the abortion industry, where accurate information about abortion is withheld from prospective clients because it might influence them to make the wrong decision.
Why should we expect any different when it comes to leftist control of health care?
Nothing new here. It’s the same old argument that has been used by Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, Khrushchev, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot, etc.
