The Establishment Strikes Back. But this campaign against the tea party will fail, because false assumptions dominate the thinking and plans of Americas Republican establishment. GOP insiders have now declared war on the tea party. They are promising during the 2014 U.S. elections to restore business interests to dominate the GOP, and weaken the tea party influence.
Hopefully well go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them, said former Rep. Steve LaTourette of Ohio. According to the National Journal, LaTourettes new political group, Defending Main Street, aims to raise $8 million to fend off tea-party challenges against more mainstream Republican incumbents. La Tourette explains: Were going to be very aggressive and were going to get in their faces.
Trouble is: Americas Republican aristocracy does not understand the tea party or what is motivating the grassroots insurgency. Republican insiders cannot respond to what they do not understand.
First, too many mainstream Republicans candidates spend money like drunken sailors. They vote for more spending, bigger deficits, more business-strangling regulations, bigger government, and ballooning national debt. They must eventual buckle to higher taxes.
Political gurus put on an act, saying that the divide falls between fiscal issues and social issues. But establishment candidates are not fiscal conservatives, the only play fiscal conservatives on TV. The tea party revolt is against the GOPs rampant fiscal irresponsibility.
The tea party aims to put the United States finances in order, lowering taxes, and balancing the budget. The charade of pitting business interests against the tea party will not fool businessmen for long. The GOP establishment is bad for business.
Second, the grassroots is demanding genuine change. Until they see actual change, aint nobody listening. GOP elites dont get it:

In all truth, these establishment Republicans will never have loyalty to a conservative Republican party, and will even work with Democrats to defeat it. So it needs to be made clear to them that if they want war, so be it, but if they lose, they will no longer have any position of authority within the party.
They and their lobbyist cronies will be on the outs, as will their business clients. So there will be no more sweetheart deals, favorable legislation to give them government money instead of earning it, and the party itself will show them the door.
The establishment encouraged the attacks on O’Donnell. They did not want her to be successful, and undermined her from the beginning. This is what they are doing now, and plan to do in the future. But if they think we will sit back and meekly accept their wise guidance, they will see that those days are over.
From Rasmussen on Drudge.
So, I wonder how much of the remaining % goes to the elite GOP?
I would be willing to bet that this internecine war will not result in Tea Party capitulation, rather the opposite.
That doesn't mean everybody in either column is enthusiastic about the choice or that they reject other alternatives.
They just dislike the other choice more than the one they picked.
Better than it did for Mike Castle the RINO loser, and his RINO water carriers.
And her character besmirched.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Rove and his buddies had a hand in that.

Yes, Christine O’Donnell is very adorable and cute. But why is it that we can’t analyze her campaign and how the establishment behaved without it turning in to how hot Christine is? Sure, any man would be lucky, like winning the lottery every day of his life, to be with Christine. But there are other things that are also important about her running for the U.S. Senate in our country.
One aspect of Christine’s campaign is that it forced the deceptive and lying establishment moderates out into the open. The snipers were exposed. The big-government statists wearing the conservative uniform were unmasked and seen for who they really are.
Sadly, Christine performed a very valuable service — among dozens of others — by drawing fire and exposing the liars and fakes within the GOP.
