And you would stake the fate of the country on John Roberts’ integrity to rule that way if Hillary challenges Cruz in court?

See, me.... I’m a little bit burned by John Roberts right now. I agree with xzins that the judiciary is bad news - terribly compromised right now. But I don’t think there’s any way to keep Hillary from having standing, so the best we can do is make sure that the court rules at the LEAST damaging time. If they have to rule while Obama’s eligibility is still able to be challenged, they may at least realize that they can’t have one set of rules for Obama and another for Cruz...

And because you support him, you would support a ruling before the 2016 primary to make sure that his eligibility is LEGALLY certain and nobody can sucker-punch him after he’s elected?

Since you seem so terribly concerned about this, why don’t you write the appropriate persons to satisfy your concerns ? I have no such concerns, because he is eligible. :-)

Because talking, opining, and writing to people doesn’t make anything legally certain. What we need is a ruling; all else is just wishful thinking and I try not to leave really, really important things to wishful thinking. You?

” - - - I would first want to protect him from getting sucker-punched by Hillary and John Roberts. - - - “

By chasing after the MANY future inevitable Liberal attacks on Cruz by Mrs. Bill Clinton, the Soros Goons, the Leftstream Media, etc, etc, are they putting you on Defense, Politically?

To mute your emotions, think about it for a few minutes each day for a week, then pray for Wisdom. Listen for as long as you pray.

It’s curious that you would think so little of Ted Cruz, an eminent legal scholar, that he of all people would not know if he qualified for the office. If he knew himself to not meet the requirements, he would swiftly disavow his supporters of their notions of promoting him for the Presidency.

There is no such thing as ‘natural law’.

Are you aware that the Declaration of Independence cites as its authority "the laws of nature and of nature's God"?

Are you against the Declaration of Independence?

Are you a redcoat?

Rafael Sr was a Canadian citizen? That’s news to me.

“To be truthful, the media is the nation’s biggest enemy at this point and we’ve got to bust them somehow if we’re going to get real conservatives who will fight the DC corruption.”

IMO, there has not been a more accurate statement posted on FR! The SRM is our blood enemy and needs to be dealt with accordingly!

Well done!

It’s also mentioned in the Bible.

They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right (ROM 2:15)

I’ll spell out what I mean so it’s clear.

Those born on U.S. soil and subject to its jurisdiction are citizens at birth by constitutional declaration (14A). Such citizens do not NEED a Congressional statute to affirm or declare their citizenship status. (They happen to have an affirming statute but do not actually need it.) Furthermore, their citizenship cannot be revoked by Congressional statute because the Constitution is supreme and Congress cannot override it.

Everyone else who obtains citizenship at birth does so through a Congressional statute. In fact, they NEED a Congressional statute to give them citizenship because the Constitution (14A) does not explicitly grant citizenship to them. Since their citizenship is derived solely through Congressional statute, Congress may revoke or modify their citizenship status by revising statutory law.

From this comment you just made, plus other things I remember being posted, it’s pretty clear that the MX/Kenyan connection was existant long before the births of the Kenyan’s son in HI (if that’s where he was born), or MX’s son. Very interesting.

Rafael Sr became a US citizen a few years ago. Up until that time, he was, from what I’ve read, a Cuban citizen.

That’s my impression as well. If Rafael Sr was indeed a “man without a country,” the eligibility arguement for Ted is stronger.

Never fails, the closer one looks, the more weirdness appears...now we have a man from the same village, born two years apart, with the same name but different signatures.

It is funny how birthers were useful until they were not. If Obama is not eligible, Cruz is more so just because he wasn’t even born here. Seems like the old definition prevailed, a natural citizen is someone who is a citizen at birth, without a naturalization process. What we all believed until 2008.

"Let’s all go beat a dead horse"

The constitutional requirement for president is not a dead horse. AND Ted Cruz has not yet proclaimed himself a "Natural Born Citizen", thus eligible. He is a smart guy who like like the supreme court,(according to Justice Thomas) is evading the eligibility issue.

If I am to be completely intellectually honest, I can not say he is definitely eligible.

That being said, if Cruz is the nominee and the most conservative one, I will support him... but not because I think he meets the constitutional requirement.... rather, because at this point, the survival of our beloved country is at stake. I see no one else except maybe Sarah Palin who can turn this country around.
