...preposterously pouted that "it's well past the time for folks to stop rooting for [ObamaCare's] failure," No, that is exactly what every single American should be doing. obamacare is bad for a number of reasons:
- Enjoy individual liberty and freedom? Kiss significant amounts of that goodbye. obamacare sets a precedent that the government can compel you to purchase goods and services.
- Enjoy your privacy? Kiss significant amounts of that goodbye under obamacare as your financial and medical information becomes widely known to any number of bureaucrats.
- Government efficiency, now applied to healthcare. {shudder}
- Less coverage, more costs.
- Less innovation, more costs.
- Fewer options, more costs.
- Death panels, not reality TV, a reality.
- 16,000+ additional IRS agents.
Given these downsides - and not one single "upside" ... not one single redeeming value to obamacare I am convinced that as Americans it is our duty to not only root for obamacare to fail but to actively try to help bring it about. For example, get the message out to family and friends about just how bad obamacare really is. The more people learn about it, the more of its reams of regulations that come to light, the more we see of the consequences (intended or not) the worse it becomes.

Excellent article. Expresses my feelings exactly.
I believe this boondoggle is doing damage to the liberal brand, in a way that none of us could have predicted.

The Democrats should not be surprised that the Republicans are so against Obamacare.
After all, they know it was “passed” without a single Republican vote, and ...
