The Unbearable Lightness of Obama: but he's found time for at least 146 rounds of golf

Is there a method to President Obama's style of leadership, his methods of decision-making, his habits of attention, oversight and follow-through? In recent months I've been keeping a file of stories that might suggest an answer. See what you think.

*** "President Barack Obama went nearly five years without knowing his own spies were bugging the phones of world leaders. Officials said the NSA has so many eavesdropping operations under way that it wouldn't have been practical to brief him on all of them.

"They added that the president was briefed on and approved of broader intelligence-collection 'priorities,' but that those below him make decisions about specific targets."

—The Wall Street Journal, Oct. 28, 2013

"HealthCare.gov is the highest-profile experiment yet in the Obama administration's effort to modernize government by using technology, with the site intended to become a user-friendly pathway to new health insurance options for millions of uninsured Americans.

"'This was the president's signature project and no one with the right technology experience was in charge,' said Bob Kocher, a former White House aide who helped draft the law."

Maybe we need to reform Constitution to have direct election by the States for POTUS to prevent an unqualified individual from occupying leadership.

The rep candidate carries 48 states, with a plurality of 50,000 votes in each state, the dem candidate carries N.Y. & Calif. with a combined 2,500,000 vote margin - the dem wins.

No thanks.

You are misapplying how states vote.

One state = one vote

GOP wins

Also his so-called "Justice" dept. runs Fast and Furious which he claims to know nothing about. So he doesn't have time to oversee one of his departments, but he has time for golf.

The IRS targets conservative groups, which he claims he had no knowledge of. (in spite of what was it, 100+ visits to the WH by the head of the IRS?) No time to oversee the IRS, but plenty of time for vacations and golf.

His State dept criminally drops the ball in Benghazi. He claims to have no knowledge of that. No time to ensure the safety of his diplomats, his representatives...but plenty of time for golf.

His minions close down some of the most visible and painful portions of the government (but only painful to a certain demographic). Yet he claims not to have had any input on it, any say. But he has plenty of time for golf - and the local high-maintenance golf course is kept open for him, while they spend money to close memorials that were nearly zero operational cost.

His signature legislation, obamacare, is tanking the economy, causing millions to lose health care coverage, lose jobs, and/or lose hours at the jobs they manage to keep. He claims it is all good, all gum drops and unicorns. No time to research what the law, consider possible (and obvious) side effects. He wants it, now out of his way, he's got to get in a round of golf...

This narcissistic wanna-be king, wanna-be dictator dressed in socialist/fascist clothing is disgusting and an insult to the office and the Country.

146 rounds of golf in 4-3/4 years of being POTUS. That's over 30 rounds a year, or, figuring for winter weather, dammed near weekly.

I know salesguys - who have "must play golf" in their job description - who WISH they got out on the course that often.

I would go by county. Win the county, you win a point. Most points win. This eliminates any voter fraud.

You want to cheat in NYC, go ahead. It is the same 1 point as a county upstate. Want 150% of the vote in Philly, not have to show ID, cool. Enjoy. It is the same point as Bucks County.

Want college kids to vote 100 times each in Austin? Awesome. It is the same one point as Sequin.

And that is how you take voter ID and rat cheating off the table.

Well, that’s what the shadow government promised him when they installed as president.

Go play, go on vacations, we’ll call you when we need you to give a speech.
