Where does the US Constitution give the federal government the power to declare protected species? Could someone please point that out, because Im not seeing it.Treaty law underlies every major environmental statute.

A friend of mine just took a wolf during Wis. wolf season.
Now a thousand more to go.

Buried? It’s the 2nd paragraph out of 27 in the article.

In the time of settling this country people had to deal with wolves killing the animals they were raising for food and protect themselves and their children from wolves. Settlers determined that wolves were such a danger that the only good wolf was a dead one and as time went on there was no more danger from wolves. Until environmentalists decided to bring back the wolf population into the wild. If you know the history of wolves in this country this plan makes as much sense as releasing serial killers and the like back into the community because at one time they were there naturally as well.

In the above picture one can easily see the collared ones. Not only that, but if you shoot one the rest won't always run away. A rifle against a wolf pack is a dicey proposition. I've seen films in Russia with packs of nearly 40 wolves. You don't fight that with a rifle.

The government is a classic case of taking off your socks and turning them inside out because “now they are clean again”.

The third doesn't work so well with a wolf that is collared. Throw the collar on the back of a northbound eighteen wheeler

That is about the stupidest post I have seen in a long time. Thanks, I work at it.
I don't know, I think re-introducing wolves is about the stupidest thing I've seen in a long time.
They are dogs after all, you can't let your dangerous pit-bulls just roam around free. You don't see other packs of wild dogs just running around marauding the countryside do you?
Why is that?

Wisconsin now issues hunting licenses & permits for wolves.
They are a problem there, altho, not the Mexican wolf.

Throw the collar on the back of a northbound eighteen wheeler Oldest story in the book. The collars now have telemetry. They will still know where it died.

I prefer an M4 with several loaded mags. When I feel like being a bit ornery I use a .300 Win Mag with 125 grain bullets and reach out for them.
