The problem is that nobody has done anything about jobs. Except for the Federal Reserve that had kept money easy to try to combat the unemployment.

They need to raise the import tariffs and bring industry back to America. It was a mistake to lower them 40 years ago.

They need to do what other families do. Downsize the budget. Eat less expensive foods, and learn to grow your own stuff.

Beans,Potatoes, onions, and cornbread. Makes a filling meal. And you can grow most of it yourself. Makes the food dollars stretch a lot.

The food prices have been greatly inflated, and packages downsized. Since we didn’t get a big temporary increase like families on SNAP did, we had to adjust our grocery selections to fit our budget.

One big boo hoo example they were giving a while back was the mom buying a burger for $1 at McDonald’s, because that was all she could afford for her kid.

She would be better off buying a can of pork and beans for 50 cents. That’s 3 servings (about 17cents per serving) - food for the whole day. Milk costs about 20 cents per serving. A banana about 17 cents. Corn bread about 17 cents. Add some green beans for 13 cents. Grand total cost for the meal is 84 cents. Plenty left for a slice of onion and maybe spinach or tomato instead of the green beans.

Omit the cornbread and subsitute whole wheat bread, and use sliced tomatoes instead of green beans, and you have a great fast food meal-no cooking required.

True. And it's only about 5%, not 25%/ Talk of people starving or rioting is hysterical overreaction.
