Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) went on Fusion TV, a network which has declared it will use the airwaves to pressure lawmakers into enacting comprehensive immigration reform, and said he believes that providing a pathway to citizenship for the country's illegal immigrants is unfair to America's legal immigrants.
Fusion is a joint venture between Univision and ABC that will debut on Monday, and appearing on the network, Cruz did not stray from his conservatism, telling host Jorge Ramos in an interview that he believed Democrats wanted immigration reform to be voted down so "they can campaign politically on it."
He did not relent on his stance against a pathway to citizenship.
"In my view, I think that is unfair to the millions of legal immigrants who waited years, sometimes decades in line to come here," Cruz said.

SO Fusion-TV is an activist network that won’t even pretend to be partisan. Is the FEC and FCC okay with that??
That’s absolutely right. And about time someone pointed this out.
I was always curious as to why the legal immigrants didn’t stage some kind of million legal immigrant march on DC or something by now.
Bravo, Mr. Cruz. And thank you for your keen sense of fairness.
The only reason why Dems want illegal aliens to get amnesty is so that they can get new voters..that way they can win elections legit instead of stuffing the ballot box and commit voter fraud which is how Dems win the majority of their elections..they know that once they get illegals amnesty they are set for life
One thing I’ve noticed, with the neighbors, for instance, in trying to reduce obnoxiousness, people are so loathe to criticize others. There’s a wimpiness, mixed with a desire for the right to go outside the rules themselves.
This man, Sen. Cruz, baffles many. While not claiming to be perfect, he has a willingness to comply with all the rules.
A LOT of people don’t comprehend that as a way of living. they think it’s rather impossible.
Of course it isn’t.
Logic. Courage. Common sense. Justice. Honesty.
This Cruz doesn’t stand a chance in politics.
Cruz should just tell them that our immigration system is settled law and has been for many years. It’s the law of the land, so just deal with it.
Cruz is setting the standard, raising the bar far above self service, making integrity, honesty, boldness, character and sacrifice, once again the principles of leadership, he is quickly gaining the respect, confidence and loyalty from all those who wish to once again see a free republic.
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
Cruz remains such a breath of fresh air.
This is Leadership!
This is what the GOP Fears!
This shows what lackluster turds we have in the GOP right now.
Senator Cruz is showing the rest of the potential 2016 POTUS candidates what it looks like to lead, but I’m sure they won’t learn a thing.
bttt
Ted went into the lions den and stood strong.
The "Fairness Doctrine" was repealed. There is no requirement to be fair and balanced.
That is actually good, because it was the government controlling speech. The bad side was that the liberals owned all the news outlets when the doctrine was repealed.
Compounding the problem is that conservatives have been virtually non-existent in fighting back until conservative sites like Free Republic began to make an appearance on the internet. Some say Fox News, and there are bits of Fox that are conservative, but they have been slowly been replaced by moderate republican females and gelded males. Hannity is about the only reliably conservative host that they now have. Doocey & Kilmeade are pretty good. Napolitano is good for the most part, but he doesn't have a regular show.
Glen Beck's new TV presence is a fairly good response. We need a conservative Daddy Warbucks to dive in and buy up something and be conservative, but that's not likely to happen. Home grown from the ground up like Free Republic is the way it will have to happen for conservatives.
Better to light a candle than stumble in the darkness, but it's a race against a dying nation. Hope God intervenes.
