The question is whether there are enough of them. Many if not most want an increase in the guest worker program. The Judiciary Committee has already passed out a bill that will do that.
All Boehner has to do is put many of these bills on the floor and a combination of RINOs and Dems will pass it. Boehner only needs about 25 Reps to vote with the Dems. We already had 14 Rep Senators vote for the terrible Gang of 8 bill.
He wont though, he wont put it up without at least the ~ 120 or so he needs to get a GOP majority to pass a bill that many House Dems would also have to vote for. He never said he wouldnt pass those other 5 bills without a GOP majority(like the debt limit) , but this one he did.
Furthermore Dems are still holding out that they cant accept a bill without citizenship, which was expected by me.
Then ya got the Senate.
Still looks near impossible to me.
