Out of his mind. This gigantic entitlement is NOT fundable by private citizens, nor by the huge subsidies expected to be paid for those who cannot afford it. He knows this. This is about another largesse from the govt. in the form of screwing the middle and upper middle class to pay for the “less fortunate” because “we should”. This is rich coming from someone who is a complete tool of the coal operators in WV who have long ago shifted their medical costs for employees onto the rest of the country’s taxpayers through subsidies to the United Mine Workers, arranged through him and Jay Rockefeller (the family that OWNS nearly all the mineral rights under the State and is paid royalties by the operators for their fields, like Peabody Energy and Patriot Coal). Goes on vacation to Tuscany with Massey Energy CEO, then turns table on them. Daughter Heather Bresch is CEO of 3rd largest generic drug maker in the US— Mylan, Inc.— stands to do well in the crappy healthcare resulting from this debacle.
