CHANDLER, AZ - Four boys have been arrested and booked into a juvenile detention center for brutally beating a kitten to death earlier this month, police said.
Sgt. Joe Favazzo, spokesman for the Chandler Police Department, said surveillance video turned into authorities, depicts six boys repeatedly abusing a young kitten.
The incident occurred on Oct. 14, but wasnt reported to police until the next day.
According to police, the six boys between the ages of 7 and 12 years old -- initially start to play with the playground equipment. It shows that they have a small dog and a kitten with them, however, the situation quickly turns dangerous for the kitten. According to the surveillance video, the boys begin to push the dog down the slide, forcing it to run into the kitten.

I don't know about WV, but that's a racket in AZ. I've known people who never drank anything in their life who were forced to install those those breathalyzers in their cars because they were on probation for non-DUI crimes.
Whatever. I’m on record for being against animal abuse — yeah, that terrifies me. Truly. Proud to go on record for that. Absolutely. The kids are on felony charges — not getting the death penalty — so nice bait and switch there. Reading is not your forte, I take it??
No. Most likely they’ll become one more child on child killer starring in the local — and national news. Ever wonder why this is happening more and more?? No?? No consequences severe enough to get their attention. That’s how. I’m in favor of the felony charges. Let ‘em learn the hard way. A slap on the wrist won’t get the message across. Either one has a conscience or one does not.
I’m sure that will be revealed, but there’s a tremendous amount of speculation there on your part. No such explanation is in evidence right now, so speculation about ‘what if’ is futile.
Spare the rod, spoil the child.
That deterrent would have been more than sufficient even if we hadn't been taught to respect life far too much to consider it.
... but you advocated this when you said, "Hope they fry". I haven't seen you take this back, or even acknowledge your own expression.
All I accused you of is failure to perceive irony, and I think you stand convicted.
can we just save society from future serial killers and just take these sadistic deviants out now? the lives saved may be people you know and love.
okay i will try one thing first. beat the living sh1t out of these kids, and see if any of them make real changes in their personalities. if not, then just execute them as nothing good will come from them.
I owe you no explanation. You thought yourself clever and tried to engage in “gotcha”. I’ve explained my position. Sorry if it’s beyond your comprehension. I “stand convicted” of nothing but being against animal abuse. You on the other hand....??? Again, there is no ironic position in being pro-capital punishment and being against animal abuse. This is what I addressed. The fact that you believe what I said is somehow “ironic” shows that you lack an understanding of that word — and clearly of what I said. Where you err is trying to conflate the two and project a position I have not taken. Re-read. I won’t explain further. This isn’t a trial and you aren’t a judge — much as you apparently would like to be. Get over yourself.
I hope you fry.
Careful that you don’t “go on record” here, lol!! In all seriousness, though, your post shows a grasp of the deeper issue here. Too many bleeding hearts, here, methinks.
I don’t think they should get just a slap on the wrist either. They should be removed from their homes for awhile. Their psychiatric evaluation can take place in a juvenile detention center. These little creeps knew what they were doing. Times have changed. Kids grow up faster.
well you have a working conscience. you still wish you could go back and do things differently, don’t you?
it is the burden one has to carry for mistakes that kill innocent living creatures out of stupid cruelty. God knows you’d do things different if you could, so you have that going for you.
I had a crow in one of my trees that just would not shut up for hours. Took a co2 bb pellet pistol and winged him in the leg, wasn’t trying to kill, just scare off. i kind of felt a little bad but not so much. especially after i have seen what a group of these crows will do to smaller animals like small rabbits and such.
for the record, farmers who had too many kittens born to the cats on their property would drown them and nothing was thought of it...simply a fact of life....and for the record, I’ve never done that but my fil said he had done it as a youth back in North Dakota...
they take’pleasure in the torture and killing, they get off on it being in pain and killing it finally. that’a why thesefolks’need to get stomped on hard, like get the living crap beaten out of them, and if they don’t figure’out they etter stop doing that to other things for their jollies, you put em down right there.
i wonder if sebelius signed them up to be on the deathcare panel?
bullcrap, they sure are at 12.
and especially now we’re told kids grow’up faster’than we did, they know a hell of a lot more than we did. can’t be both ways.
Interesting to me that so many people post about a kitten being murdered but when a thread is started about abortion not many reply. Do we read the headline and not react? Just wondering.
torturing and killing animals for pleasure is not little suzy shoplifting some lip balm from walgreens.
and it’s not that every kid is doing it either. don’t minimize it. this is serious crap and it leads to more serious crap.
you cannot treat those that get their jollis from torture and killing of other creatures, lightly, at any age. it’s an addiction and they soon need a bigger thrill.
like i said, beat them within an inch of their lives. see’if they make a real personality change after and conclude maybe i shouldn’t take sadistic pleasure in the torture and killing of others, it kind of sucks’to be’on the receiving end, and if they change, fine, if not, end them right there.
