Assuming this to be true for the sake of argument - it doesn’t make sense to bring it up again to make it the topic of discussion - it’s over, for better or worse...don’t put it back in the news over what is currently happening at this time.

Santorum, who was unable to get re-elected to the Senate in his home state, criticizes Cruz who beat out all the big time $$$ establishment good old boys in TX big time. Texans love Cruz.

We are all waiting for you to explain Little Ricky’s strategy.
What is little Ricky’s strategy going forward? Tell us. We would like to know.

I’m suspicious of it all - even Cruz- he looks good, sounds good, but he is still an Insider, too. Wife works for Goldman Sachs. He once clerked for Rehnquist, which isn’t a bad thing. Just sayin’....

You must not be from TX. Cruz was investigated by every establishment type in the country. They planned that senate spot for then Lt Gov Dewhurst, another big RINO they were sure was a shoo-in, and the kind of guy to do all them favors they wanted.

False ads, continual attacks went on for months. Big money was working to take him out, and big names such as Roger the Dodger Staubach, Kay Bailout Hutchison, on and on. But the people of TX kept hearing Ted Cruz speak the truth and saw thru all the phonies. He made mincemeat out of them in the debates. He won that election with huge margin.

Rick Santorum is just one more establishment puke spewing the NWO mantra trying to convince the American people that the treasonous crimes we all see going on in this government is not what we are actually seeing while simultaneously telling us that the government takeover thus eliminating our liberty and freedom is good because it is the politically correct thing to do and it good for our children's future. No more need to wonder why the schools in the US won't teach the real history of America.

Hey Rick!

Are you upset by Ted’s ability to consistently deliver a clear message on any given subject?

Are you jealous?

Rick, keep fighting the Pro-Life fight, and leave the rest of the hard work to Conservative Leaders!

Santorum realizes that, with Cruz now the Conservative leader, his chances of becoming President became slim and none...and before Santorium’s ObamaCare supporting bashing of Cruz

I am an old-style Independent Baptist fundamentalist, a dying breed. Lester Roloff and John Rice are two of my heroes. But I never, never fell for Santorum, Huckabee, or any of their ilk. It seems to me that the evanjelly-cals are more prone to falling for these "social justice" type "conservatives". Since there's less chance of my type of fundamentalist ever having a snowball's chance in hell of coming close to high political office (actually, my type would never run), I use my discernment (thank you Holy Spirit for that very important gift) to avoid being fooled by "conservatives" who sound like a garden-variety redistributionist leftist on social issues, or show their "compassionate conservatism" by lettng loose convicted murderers so they can go right out and murder again.

It's not easy to find a conservative who's not afraid to sound tough on law and order, national security, and stealing other people's money to give to freeloaders, who also has compassion for the right people-the unborn, and innocent law-abiding people who have the right and obligation to defend themselves and their families with the use of firearms. That's one thing which made Reagan so special. That stinking McCain is a "maverick" alright, he bucks the conservatives in his own party while kissing the rears of his "friends across the aisle". If that's a "maverick" , it's the easiest job going-the MSM will adore you.

I think that perhaps our long-gone fundamentalist leaders had it right-vote, but don't put faith in/get caught up in political movements. Jerry Falwell proved them right. His "Moral Majority" had a short-lived, limited impact, while being in that milieu moved him and Liberty University slightly leftwards, towards the evanjelly-cal camp. He learned that more you feed compromise, the bigger its appetite grows.

Okay - you were warned all during 2011-12 that Santorum was a pro life liberal....an establishment tool...

I posted Santorum's dismal record here countless times during the 2012 primary. For my part, I never trusted him as far as I could throw him. His condemnation of Ted Cruz only reinforces my gut instincts about the man.

I must say, I think your post is just fantastic...ALL OF IT. I am not an Indy Baptists fundamentalist - I was saved in a non denominational mens Bible study in 1992 and spent my early years in a small charismatic church......and I would say that I agree with every single word of your post and share every single frustration you have.

Well, almost every word. RE THIS: I think that perhaps our long-gone fundamentalist leaders had it right-vote, but don't put faith in/get caught up in political movements.

I think it's fine to be involved in political movements...but don't confuse doing that with the call to elect a preacher to high office - or even a candidate who claims to be the most Bible believing.

I prefer to figure out which candidate will allow me the most chance to live out my faith...I do not get caught up in who speaks about their own faith the most. I don't need a national spriritual leader. I need a Pres to get govt the HECK OUTTA my way.

I guess Ricky is not in favor of 1 yr delay in the individual mandate, just like businesses have, that even Democrats are calling for now.

Cruz was right!

11th commandment?

That only works when those who disagree on tactics and strategy, are otherwise in accord on fundamental party principles.

That's no longer the case in the Republican party, which is now split between the old guard who've become co-conspirators with the Dems, versus the traditionalist, conservative, patriotic, Tea Party right.

We have two distinct teams under the same umbrella at present. It's vital to differentiate between them, hence the calling out of RINOs like Santorum.
