Liberals really do set the standard for jumping to conclusions. There’s s storm—well, it must be because of global warming. A white (or almost white) man shoots a black man—obviously the motivation is racism. War in the middle east—it’s for oil. You can basically blame every problem in the world on one of three things: global warming, racism, and greedy corporations.

Too bad that strong leadership didn’t extend to telling New Jerseyans what we needed to hear most: that we must protect ourselves from rising sea levels that worsen severe flooding, and mightier storms in the future.

That's low information reporting.

The flooding from Sandy was due to a storm surge and not glacial melt.

Storms aren't getting "mightier", this has been a record calm hurricane season.

For many "Climate Change" has became dogma. Its the nouveau religion of the left to put man before God.

I think the best thing would be for the Star Ledger to stop wasting natural resources and shut down its paper.

we must protect ourselves from rising sea levels

It's an interesting fact that "... the summit of Everest is formed of rocks made in a shallow sea."

Reference ... "Darwin's Ghost;" a scientific update, by Steve Jones, of every chapter in Darwin's "Origin."

From a New York Times Book Review ... "There are few better or more entertaining accounts of the evolutionary process in print today than Darwin's Ghost."

One year after Sandy, Christie officials sleepwalking on climate change: Opinion (Star Ledger)

One year after Sandy, New Jersey is enjoying some of the most spectacular fall weather we've seen in years, and is entering the last week of hurricane season without a single Atlantic storm having made landfall anywhere near this place: Fact (Alberta's Child)

“Global warming” would not show up on a list of 100 things the Sandy survivors are concerned about right now.

Even if they were concerned, it’s the last things Christie should be wasting time on.

And even if they decided to do something about it if it were real, they would all be dead and buried before any result were seen.

Don’t these idiots realize what would have to be done to reduce CO2 levels to what they were oh, let’s say in the 70s? Ha, ha! They have NO clue.

HAHAaa-hahaha... Where do they find mice like this “Julie O’Connor”? She obviously didn’t get the memo that the whole “global warming” scam was exposed and dismissed, like, years ago. Maybe she and her ilk should go back to scaring people about... I dunno... Africanized killer bees coming up the coast or something... Maybe lead paint, or DDT, or radon, or black mold, or.... “global cooling”. Yeah, “global cooling”! It’s about time that ‘70s fad was revisited.

Have fun with that, Julie!

The problem isn’t “global warming” or “climate change”, it is the SFIs who build below the probable levels of storm surge and flooding. They will continue this as long as “Somebody Else Pays”. Happens not only in NJ, but on all coastlines in the US.

Hard to believe, and yet actually easy to believe that these idiots think that 2 inches higher sea levels could lead to catastrophic flooding.

Just Add a couple a layers of concrete to your flood wall.

Or stop building expensive things on the beach where category-one hurricanes can destroy billions of dollars of stuff.

Because New Jersey can, by itself, save the entire planet.
