I would add that although the large donations and the monthly donations save the day, but that anyone reading this who has never donated should consider starting right now. Even a small donation, if it’s all you can afford, is better than nothing. FR needs as many people supporting it as possible.

A lot of regulars have been run off. So if FR wants more people it's going to need to be more tolerant. That or start using ads. It doesn't take this much money to run this website. Anyone with a ounce of technical knowledge would tell you that. Cue the "Go back to DU" replies
