(CNN) -- Revelers in the rainbow-washed crowd smiled and cheered this month as the little blond girl in the parade float pageant-waved to the B-52's "Love Shack."
Next to the float, the girl's father, Billy Holder, handed out fliers to the Atlanta Pride Parade crowd. His wife, Melissa, carried a banner along with Jeremy Mullins, the couple's partner.
"Polyamory: Having simultaneous close emotional relationships with two or more other individuals," read their purple-lettered banner, embellished with an infinity heart.
They've learned the need for discretion. They said a family member reported them to Georgia's Division of Family and Children Services, alleging child abuse and prompting a weeks-long investigation. The Holders said it ended with no charges being laid and their daughter remaining in the home. Georgia's Division of Family and Children Services did not return multiple phone calls seeking comment.
But the experience also informed some of their desire to change public perceptions of polyamory.
So they march, and organize and raise their daughter the best they can. Their meetup groups continue to grow and they're looking forward bringing in new speakers to 2014's Atlanta Poly Weekend.

I don’t think Jefferson would have liked drug addicted 2 year old prostitutes
Hyperbole. Look it up, liberal.
I am sorry, can you show me where Jefferson defended gay marriage, smoking dope, and allowing criminal illegal aliens to remain in the country and also lower the age of consent laws for sodomites and hetereos??
The evil satanic savages at NAMBLA are pushing to eliminate the age of consent.
Wow. Now I’m a liberal for opposing deviant lifestyles of the perverts.
wow.
You are on the wrong site.
No, you’re a liberal for thinking its government’s job to punish behavior you don’t like when that behavior does absolutely no harm to you. It’s a not so subtle yet very important difference.
Yep, I think sleeping your kids should be punishable by death.
No harm to me. wow.
destroying civilization itself is no harm to me.
Hyperbole. Look it up, liberal.
Of course, the libertarians love claiming they are the "real" conservatives--even when they end up defending child abuse, as they obviously are doing right here on this thread.
I can show you where he didn't think government had no role nor any say in any of that.
I'm sure he didn't like them at all, but he did not think they should be stopped from doing whatever they were doing by government.
still, you cannot prove Jefferson was a immoral libertarian,
that means you lost this argument
They're going to make it our business. The gays have won the right to tax us to pay for benefits for gay "spouses" of government workers, and the same will happen with these other people.
Check your premise.
In any event, finding an "immoral" libertarian would be difficult.
Libertarians believe that unless something harms someone else, deprives them of their property, fruits of their labor or liberty, it is not "immoral".
Im sorry, but if you dont recognize that sodomy is immoral
that drug use for pleasure is immoral
that children having sex with adults is immoral
then you only make yourself look stoopid
This is also part of the gay movement which is all about no limits. Anyone who does not believe in sexual morality is an ally of the gay movement and the gays know it. To all the clueless people out there, the glbt movement is all-for -one-and-one-for-all with any crazed sex with no limits group including the polyamorous. Since the gay movement includes bisexuality it will have to include polyandry in its gay “marriage” laws since, according to their thinking it would be discrimination and so unfair to make a bisexual have to chose between a man or a woman. After all if homosexuals and lesbians can be “born that way”, can’t bisexuals also be “born that way”? Soft headed people had better consider that the gay movement is about changing anything that society has considered the norm up until this point.
Do you know that you are re-thinking the way that human society has functioned for thousands of years? Do you even have a clue as to the damage that you are doing?
What about our religious heritage? Don’t you think that the state should back up society’s moral code?
