U.S. Sen. Al Franken, a strong supporter of President Barack Obamas health care overhaul, said Thursday that its too early to extend enrollment deadlines or delay insurance mandates despite ongoing problems with the federal exchange.
Speaking to the media after meeting in St. Paul with medical device company officials, the Minnesota Democrat said ongoing technical problems with the federal health insurance website are inexcusable. But Franken said he thinks theyre getting better.

I agree Al. As a matter of fact, lets double-down on the penalty and go to 2% right off the bat.
Just wait until Obamacare meets the Iranian version of STUXNET.
Good Grief, what could possibly go wrong?
Is that Chip Diller......or Jay Carney?
Can you imagine having that guy as your Senator? Holy shet! I use to live in New York and have Hillary as mine, I thought that was bad but Franken? What? It must be like having Alec Baldwin as my Senator. Kill me now!
“Getting Better?” Reminds of the “Bring out yer dead” scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, where the supposedly dead guy claims “I’m getting better,” just before they whack him over the head with a club and toss him on the wagon with all the other dead bodies.
Is it getting more secure? Nobody with even half a brain would trust their personal information on that mess.
He thinks. Don’t that give you confidence.
"....and Leon's getting l-a-a-arger."
Here's another one. The coverage is through insurance companies. It sure is going to be fun when insurance companies say "it's not covered" by a policy they were forced to buy, or were given for free by the government. These aren't government bureaucrats the insured will have to deal with; their people working for insurance companies that plan to make a profit.
And won't it be fun when people decide they can't afford the insurance and stop paying? Will that be a way out of Obamacare, or will they be assessed a fine they can't afford?
Yeah, but she makes good hotdish and her dad was famous in the Twin Cities, so that’s all that matters.
BINGO!!
I dont think al has that kind os a sense of humor ...sadly.
given that theres not even a CLAIM of expectation of Privacy.....I refuse to visit whatevers goin on there..
Still trying to be funny, I see.
That’s my question. There are no doubt people struggling to get by now, what will happen when their rates double. The IRS takes money out of their accounts. Car payment checks bounce. Cars become re-possessed. If people don’t pay, and just have an ever mounting debt to the IRS, what happens then? There was a perceived problem with healthcare system in this country not because healthcare insurance was unavailable, but because the premiums costs too much. Obamacare has not addressed this at all. It has, in fact, it has exacerbated the problem.
ahaha another opening another show
dont its just make yer ole heart glow.
Obamacare..mmm good!
isnt that Mother Sheehans son casey?
they wont reveal the amount of code that would need to be cobbled together for a functional fornt end...and “rear end”..
its a complete dud...from line one on through the end.
I’m not sure who has the worst senator. Manchin ain’t no prize. The NRA took out ads slamming him and he isn’t up for re-election until 2018!
Manchin is a beneficiary of mob connections in WV. At least one of his buddies locally is rumored, yeah right, to be heavily involved in the drug business.
Manchin probably figures he’s got quite a few years to redeem himself. the real problem is the group in WV that controls the GOP party has its head so far up its ass, there’s no hope of a successful extraction.
